A Big Mac is hardly considered big these days. I would say that I've had two in the last 10 years, possibly. They are a hole filler, nothing more. If it's a burger, I prefer to get one from a suburban fish & chips /burger shop than those fancy assed burger places. I've never even tried a Betty's Burger or a Carl's JNR burger. Haven't even been to HJ's or KFC in over 30 years.

Fancy ones are to big and messy most the time. They get wet and then sloppy and fall apart. And to many sauces. Plus paying $15-$20.
I'm with you. A basic burger from fish n chip shop is fine.
A big Mac i still rate

Am I the only one who enjoys a Big Mac or cheese burger?
There are better this is true. But I'd still find it hard to turn down a big mac

No. I enjoy them as well. On the very, very rare occasion. Burger of choice though is the Quarter Pounder. Maybe, twice a year.
I'll get shot for this but I also like a Fillet-o-fish burger.
A simple plain burger from the local fish and chip shop though is far superior.

Taste is subjective. I love the Aussie style burger over than American style that want to sell you these days. Beetroot, egg and pineapple on a burger are fine by me.
The golden rules of takeaway:
1. Pineapple should'nt be seen anywhere near a burger or a pizza. It's a dessert ffs !!!
2. Beetroot should not be seen anywhere - period - full stop.

:p

Agree, with the caveat that the pickles are removed before consumption

Any burger from a fishy has to have beetroot.
Forget the cheese, bacon, pineapple and egg.
I prefer a simple burger.

And......there's absolutely nothing wrong with pineapple on pizza.
Pizza in fact lends itself to almost any topping

If I order a burger from a takeaway it will have have lettuce, tomato, beetroot (possibly grilled onion) and egg along with the beef patty on a toasted buttered bun. I'm sure we can argue the merits of the correct assembly order while we're on the topic. Pineapple, bacon and cheese are rare options for me.

The assembly order is over rated.

I don't order desserts at takeaways but I do like a fruit salad at home with cream or ice cream. Do Maccas still have pineapple fritters and sundaes on their menu?
I only use Maccas when on a road trip for a coffee and maybe a McMuffin. Dumb thing about that, I don't drink coffee unless I'm on a road trip. I wouldn't know a Maccas dessert these days even if I dipped my nuggets in it.
