yes i know someone who went mountain bking in summer there - and their only comment on it was that the flies were horrific

As I suspected.

I planned to do the walk on Boxing Day 2006 or 2007. We had about a foot of snow on XMAS day, and high winds on Boxing Day, so I got about 500 metres from the Eagles Nest and turned back.

The 500 metre mark might be us as well. Thanks for your input, guys.

Forget all the troubles of the past week and do what I did - put $10 on Manly/Newcastle/Canberra/Cronulla/Parra at odds of 265/1. ;-)

And battered savs are revolting, at least, the last few bites are.

My sister-in-law criticised me when I served her some real scallops as an entree. She was quite disappointed that she didn't get potato in batter.

there is not a snowballs chance newcastle will beat brisbane .... so I did all that except newy - but took penruf and melbourne aswell - similar odds ... but I only put $5 on it - i'm a pussy :lol:

What's local? In you on the Parra area, take a trip up Windsor Road to the fish and chip shop at Northmead. Best crumbed fish in the area IMO.
