well i saw him play for Wee Waa against West Tamworth Lions on the weekend and Wee Waa won, greatly because of the efforts of Jamie, who played 5/8, kicked in general play (and did it very well, both long and short) and kicked goals and generally ran the team effectively

he did not however, swagger around the field with a badge on his chest saying "i am the man and i played NRL and i have a big contract with an English club"

nor did he bag other players for making mistakes or act superior to his team mates or the opposition

therefore, he carried himslef with dignity, even when he took a bad and late high shot near the end of the game (when the game was well and truely over) and even through the barrage of uninformed and undignified comments from the crowd

so, even though he handled his association with Parramatta poorly (in the end) it was clear he was enjoying himself in a much lesser football environment and still has a great deal of passion for the game at any level

something that the Parramatta club still needs to look strongly at and ask themselves, what escatly did go wrong and why did he leave and how can we avoid such dissapointments in the future???????

anyway, he and Wee Waa are now in the Group 4 Grand Final and he may win one after all before he goes to the ESL

and he may have an interesting "stay" over there from some things i heard at the game concerning his possible movements...............?????????

yes. He is a great player, and it makes you wonder - was he justa spoilt brat, or were there actually problems?

I apologise if I offend people with this.

I just thought the shapes of their heads were very similar, and given the way he disrespected my club...

But if it offends people I will remove it.

it doesn't really offend me, hey i can see what you mean

its just that i am a lot closer to the sitiuation than most here and i also cannot stand to see former Parra players hated, especially in this situation where there was a certain "Transformers" atmosphere

you know "more than meets the eye"........lol ;-)

LOL.

I don't really know everything that went on.

I just felt that the club I adore so fiercely was treated like a bunch of monkeys, and that he was acting like a brat.

But like I said I don't know what actually happened.

I can't say that I will hate him - obviously I won't hold him in the highest esteem, but he is a great talent and when we spoke (once or twice) he was a lovely guy.

It's just a terrible, terrible shame the way things worked out.

I mean had he walked out, but had it been handled better - had he just asked for a release striaght up, I think it would have been different.

It's a shame though.

i actually agree when it comes to Parra - itsw over and lets move on with who we have to what "should" be a no excuses and no regrets year for Parra in 2005

in fact that should be their slogan in the dressing room, just like Steve Waugh and the Aussies at the 1999 Cricket World Cup???

Parramatta 2005: "No Excuses and No Regrets"
