Now Puletua wants out of the Titans?

Yeah I agree Willow with a lot of what you've said.

One thing that irks me in rugby league is the constant breaking of contracts prematurely - by clubs and players. It's very unprofessional, and it's just a pandora's box waiting to be exposed in a court of law when someone gets the guts to fight the contract termination or refusal of duty.

In that case, I think it's important the Titans stay strong now and make sure players realise that taking up a contract with them is exactly that, contracting yourself for a set period of time. No more, no less. Only sign if you're certain you're coming. It could be very easy to roll over and give in in this case being the new kids on the block, that makes it especially important they show Melbourne, Steve Turner, Frank Puletua, Luke O'Dwyer and co that committments will be honoured by all parties, this is no joke organisation.

Indeed, if you read some of the quotes from Searle in the press, it backs up the view that they are trying to overcome these old perceptions.

Stuff like: 'would not back down like the Gold Coast of old' and 'The Gold Coast of old may have rolled over but this organisation won't'.

It all sends a pretty clear 'don't piss us around' message.

As for O'Dwyer, an AAP feed yesterday quoted him as saying: "I'll finish up the year with Parramatta and then I'm going over, and really looking forward to it."

O'Dwyer is definitely Gold Coast bound. I don't think there's much to the Carney story either.

Is there something with McDonalds? Red Rooster? KFC? Taxi companies? Woolworths? Aldi? BP? Mobil?

All of whom you enter into contracts with without signature.

Nope. Didn't think so. Contracts don't have to be written, and certainly don't need signatures. It's a cop out from people who either really don't understand contractual law or people who are really hopeful of Turner staying with Melbourne.
...Or are death-riding the Gold Coast Titans.

Guys, you can add me to the list of players wanting out.

I've had a change of heart and don't really feel I can leave hometown Hurstville. I have a great community link to the place, and I really like the pies they sell at the bakery on the train station.
