Considering the winners over those years have been Roosters, Storm and Panthers, I don’t think it’s been a failure…that’s 3 pretty bloody good sides

and they had lots of injuries in 2020, while Mitchell was out last year…takes luck to win a comp…

It's all about perspective, right ? Wtigers etc would kill for Souths record. Indeed we have been a top 8 team for how many years in a row ? IIRC each time we have been bundled out we were beaten by a team who made the GF ? Is that right ?

And there drought was still going since 1971.
