Reed stated, knowing he didnt have a contract at The Brave Chooks beyond this year, Lodge approached them for a release 5 plus weeks ago as a club was interested in getting him. The request was rejected. Now they are prepared to release him but unfortunately that interest from another club does not exist any longer.
Im thinking Eels but the no from The Brave Chooks led them to Joffa as the next option.

Possibly, We did throw huge coin at him for 2019 onwards, but he decided to stay at the Ponys. So some history there us wanting him.

Glad we got big Joe instead since, plus Ogden and Makatoa doing great as well

Of the 5 games of footy played ont he weekend, last night's 360 devoted a total of zero seconds to talk about any of them.
It was all Dragons drama and Origin. I get that Origin is a big money spinner for the game and it's a huge event, but I really don't like that the regular season takes a back seat to it for a couple of months out of every year.

Ben Hunt is a f**kwit. I have no problem with him liking Hook as a coach but he signed a contract in October until the end of 2025 without a coach clause knowing full well Hook was on thin in ice. If Hunt wanted a coach clause and dragons refused a coach clause (which is likely) then don't f**king sign! But the greedy prick wanted his 900k so signed regardless and still took meetings with Gus Gould in the off season. Now Dragons have started the year poorly, Hook is gone and all of a sudden Hunt is blaming poor management as the reason he wants out...but the management has been a basket case long before Hunt got there (Dragons crap management is nothing new) and it's just a coincidence the Dogs, Titans and Roosters are suddenly interested.
