Depth in the comp at halfback is terrible lol

If perth got added they would end up with a bag of potatoes with a 7 painted on it at playmaker

Suli scores 22 tries and can't even get on the wing. Should definitely be there over Mansour
Mansour is more than just a try scorer... Vunivalu is a great young talent with freakish try scoring ability. But most teams need more from a winger than just being a great finisher.

These stats are the reason Mansour was picked:

All runs:
Mansour - 389 for 3936m gained
Suli - 186 for 1871m gained

Offloads:
Mansour - 16
Suli - 5

Tackle breaks:
Mansour - 126
Suli - 34

Ontop of that he can score a try, has a lower error rate, better tackle rate and is an asset to a team anywhere on the field. Not just the opposition goal line. He also earns alot of penalties with his fight for a quick play the ball.

For mine Taumalolo was the best player in a team that finished fourth, so I reckon he truly deserves Lock of the Year. His stats are unreal also.

I would have Maloney at 5/8th, I hate the little prick, but he has been awesome this year.

Controversial I know, but I don't think JT has been consistently that good this year, and his form really did falter throughout parts of the season. Him being nominated shows a lack of depth at that position in the NRL.
Taumalolo has been the best running forward this year, bar none.

He's been otherwordly. I hope he stays up in NQ in that familiar environment because if he puts together a few more seasons like 2016 then he'll be a legend of the game.

I don't think I've ever seen a forward capable of doing what he can. Easily lock of the year, which is no disrespect to Merrin. And actually IMO I can't split both he and Hodgson as the Player of the Year.

I agree on JT too. I thought Cronk should have been an easy choice as halfback of the year.

The team gave Mitch rein an honorable mention.

Surely no one can take it seriously after reading that.
Hahaha I laughed when I saw that, too.

Taking the piss surely. What next, Mary an honourable mention for Coach of the Year?

Mansour and Rapana have pretty similar stats. They both more or less average 10.50m a carry. Rapana has 19 offloads to Mansours 16 and Rapana has one more tackle bust. Rapana has slightly more line breaks and slightly more errors.

Two good hard running wingers.

The biggest stat to separate them is an odd one for a winger. Mansour has 1 try assist. Rapana has 7.

7 try assists is crazy for a winger.

Surely

I would have had Barba at 1 but I am biased

15 tries 18 try assists , thought he had more of an impact for us than Maloney, 18 try assists vs Maloney's 9

LOL @ Smith...They couldn't find any stats to support his selection so they just picked him on reputation. Hodgson was clearly the stand out hooker of the comp this year.

How many games have they each played to reach those stats? Suli has played less than half a season...
However do agree he's got a lot of development in him but has shown he has all the attributes to surpass many in time.
