Central Coast Bears would be wonderful.I'm ok with the Bears coming back in an expansion area, only if they do the ground work in the lead up though.

Problem with relocation is it is not strategic planning as it may never happen. Is perth supposed to hang around for ever more in the hope, someone goes belly up and there isn’t enough money in the kitty to save them one day?
Not to mention it’s highly unlikley the nrl will sit back and see a strategic club disappear eg Newcastle
I’m pretty sure Brisbane City told the FFA to stick it unless they were guaranteed payment in the first 3-5 years. Unless something has changed. If the A-League can get 10 teams bidding for 2 positions, why can’t the NRL get off its arse?
FFA intends to grant licences for two new clubs to join the Hyundai A-League in the season after next, 2019-20. The ultimate aim of the process is to identify two bids with the strongest potential for establishing clubs with long-term sustainability while also growing the commercial attraction and popular support for the existing Hyundai A-League clubs and the League as a whole.
Fifteen formal submissions were received at the end of the initial Expressions of Interest (EOI) stage.
These have been analysed by FFA and its lead advisers Deloitte against the criteria contained in the EOI documents with additional information sought from all parties.
Following that analysis, the FFA Board resolved to invite the following parties to take part in the next, more detailed bid phase:

That’s crazy to think travels costs are to be incorporated into off-field salary/expenses by the non-Sydney teams to approximately $100kThe quicker we get a airline sponsor the better.

Interesting with regards to the travel costs.

A Perth team will have higher off-field costs than the Warriors, Cowboys or Storm.Football cap is going to be about $4.7mill isn’t it? $100k differebnce, if really is that for most of the clubs In question is a tiny fraction difference in reality.

Adelaide is not a league city and the Rams was a colossal failure of a venture.
Perth is a must, as is a 2nd NZ team for the kiwis who dislike Auckland and want their own franchise to get behind, as well as adding some rivalry to the Warriors.
LOL, somebody needs to read up on the history of the Rams!
They averaged 15,330 a game in 97, in 97 Balmain averaged 10,355 and Wests averaged 8,602, so no matter which half of the merger you supported back then the Rams were a bigger draw. Naturally their average attendance dropped in 98 down to 7,682, but basically every team at the times crowds dropped, especially the clubs like Adelaide who were tipped in the media to lose their license, add to that that their team was absolute dog shit as well and are you really surprised (BTW they still averaged more than the Magpies at 7,301, though Balmain where one of the few clubs to see a tiny increase to 10,576).
When they were wrapped up Adelaide had money in the bank and the foundations of a club that could have potentially grown into a strong club over time especially if they were nurtured.
So no they weren't a failure they were murdered!
First they were kneecapped by News who pulled their funding and reinvested it into Brisbane and Melbourne (as they did with all the SL clubs bar the Broncos and the Storm), then the killing blow was delivered by the NRL who decided to sacrifice them to save "loyal" clubs, despite the fact they had a better business plan and were in a better position then most of if not all of those loyal clubs, and cause there was no established fan-base to protest when it happen they were allowed to just slip away...
Should have been 18 with
Perth
Melbourne
Adelaide
Auckland
Canberra
GC
NQ
Brisbane
SQ
Newcastle
Gosford
Wollongong
Then 6 biggest Sydney clubs/mergers
Would have set rl up in this country for. decades to come. Instead it is likely to take us 50 years to get back to where we could have been in 1998.nobody ever could accuse RL of being visionary in its decision making!
