NRL grand final tickets on sale Monday

http://news.leaguehq.com.au/nrl-grand-final-tickets-on-sale-monday/20072909-sgh.html

Tickets for this year's NRL grand final will go on sale next week, the NRL has announced.
Tickets will be available to NRL club season ticket holders from Monday while they will become available to the general public on Wednesday.
The tickets start from $50 for adults and $32 for concession and range through to $155.
The NRL said while some tickets would be held back until grand final week, next week's release was the main allocation of tickets and represented the best opportunity for fans to get the best possible seats for the match.
"Every week it's getting harder to predict who is going to be in the grand final," NRL chief executive David Gallop said.
"With all that uncertainty and excitement fans will want to get in early and secure their seat because it's going to be a great match regardless of who is playing."
For the first time, 11 NRL clubs have volunteered to use a new ticket service that will give their season ticket holders the opportunity to purchase tickets online.
Tickets are available through Ticketek outlets, on 132 849 or www.ticketek.com.au.

GRAND FINAL TICKET SALES
9 August 2007

Tickets for the 2007 NRL Grand Final will go on sale to season ticket holders on Monday, August 13 and to the general public on Wednesday, August 15.

While some tickets will be held back until Grand Final week, Monday's release is the main allocation of tickets and represents the best opportunity for fans to get the best possible seat for the match.

For the first time, 11 NRL clubs have volunteered to use a new ticket service that will give their season ticket holders the opportunity to purchase tickets online during their priority booking window - from 9am on Monday, August 13, to 9pm on Tuesday, August 14.

Remaining tickets will be made available for sale to the general public from 9am on Wednesday, August 15, and in New Zealand from 11am (9am Sydney time).

Tickets are available through Ticketek outlets, on 132 849 or www.ticketek.com.au. New Zealand customers can also call 09 307 5000 or 0800 842 538 (toll free in NZ).

"Every week it's getting harder to predict who is going to be in the Grand Final," NRL Chief Executive Mr David Gallop said today.

"With all that uncertainty and excitement fans will want to get in early and secure their seat because it's going to be a great match regardless of who is playing."

Wests Tigers, South Sydney, Sydney Roosters, NZ Warriors, Gold Coast, Canberra, Brisbane, North Queensland, St George Illawarra, Penrith and Cronulla have volunteered to use the new online Grand Final ticketing system for season ticket holders.

Season ticket holders from those clubs who have supplied a current email address and 'opted-in' to receive emails from their club will have had a unique code sent to their email address on Monday morning to use when filling out their ticket order.

Tickets ordered online during the priority window can be collected from selected Ticketek outlets or be mailed out to the customer.

Season ticket holders not using the online system must present their season pass at Ticketek outlets in order to purchase Grand Final tickets during the priority window.

Sales will be permitted by telephone if paid for by credit card, but season ticket holders must quote their season ticket number. This season pass will need to be produced to collect tickets. The outlets nominated as ticket collection points for season ticket holders are listed at the end of this Press Release.

Each season ticket entitles the holder to purchase two Grand Final tickets during the priority window. A season ticket holder can present up to four passes to purchase a maximum of eight tickets. A pass can only be used once.

But all customers - including season ticket holders - can purchase tickets just once.

Customers purchasing tickets outside of the priority window can buy a maximum of eight Grand Final tickets, which ensures fans should have an opportunity to purchase tickets while also restricting opportunities for scalping.

Due to a public holiday in Brisbane on Wednesday, August 15, the only Ticketek outlets open that day will be the Brisbane Convention Centre (Crn Merivale and Glenelg Streets, South Brisbane, 9am-5pm) and Carindale Westfield Shopping Town (L1, Customer Service Desk, 1151 Creek Road, 10am-3pm).

Similar to last year, the NRL will release a second allocation of approximately 14,000 tickets, held across all categories, to season ticket holders of the Grand Final teams on Monday, September 24.

Any remaining tickets will then be released for public sale the next day.

Tickets for week one of the NRL finals series will go on sale to away season ticket holders at 9am the Monday before the match and to the general public at 9am the Tuesday before the match. Home season ticket holders will be contacted by their club. Ticket limits may apply, depending on the venue.
