A good point well made Karmawave. The agency always adds its the official agent of the NRL.The NRL gets a new revenue stream which in the new order of pokie taxes it needs to maintain and probably look to increase. As we know bookies the world over are willing to offer money for inside knowledge. With league being a contact sport the best mail you could get is if someone took a knock on the weekend and wasn't looking good to play. The onus now is on the NRL to bring in the NFL system on possible /probable.As gambling on RL is only going to get bigger it needs to take the initiative rather than get dragged along and embarrassed when punters cry foul with late inclusions.

during games commentators should be barred from commenting on anything about gambling. You often hear talk about certain odds, and such. Gambling is illegal for those under 18, and with such a large audience in that demographic, commentators need to be more cautious as to what they say.

That is the stupidest thing ever, because people talk about it somehow means that minors are going to do it. ffs stop being so politically correct

Don't talk nonsense. It's like sex. Kids should be taught how to gamble properly to stop them getting hurt.

You don't have to bet until 3 seconds before kick off
Teams have to be in an hour before kick off
That gives you roughly 59 minutes and 57 seconds to get a bet on
Why would you bet on a Tues or Weds for an event on a Sunday

Agree..don't put your bets on until the day of the game.

In doing this you can take into account late team changes, weather, experts tips etc.

And for the thousands who put money on Pick The Winners or Pick The Margins where the deadline is 7.30pm Friday?

( the majority of all rugby league gambling turnover comes from FootyTab betting i.e. Pick the winner/margins/score )
