A champion team of great mates who just love playing together - it never had anything to do with the money! They were more professinal, better coached and better prepared - blah blah blah!

They cheated, they got caught - good riddance. It has nothing to do with them being in Melbourne and to suggest so is like suggesting the Murali got called for chucking because of his skin colour, not becuase of the actual fact that he threw the ball until they changed the laws to fit him in!

Only people from Melbourne who to be fair don't understand the salary cap properly are saying that, i think you'll find most if not all Storm fans on here aren't saying this is because they're from Melbourne its because they cheated.

Based on this new information, and the distinct possibility that there may be more $$$$ payments found, the NRL got the penalties 100% correct.

2 things

Am I the only one who gets irritated when leading offifals call each other nicknames in public arenas.

.. And 2, I bet Gallop got on the phone with indecent haste to Rothfield to tell him the good news.

And you can you prove no other club has been doing it. NO!

That's like saying if you murder someone it's alright because other people are doing it too.

Cameron Smith and co. should take pay cuts. In the form of returning all of the money they illegally earned. What other occupation would let you keep money you were not allowed to have in the first place?

How pathetic can one group of supporters be. (Its a given that it is some, not all of them)
They have been caught, so what is the typical text book response if you are to play the victim. Point out others may be doing it also (without any proof whatsoever). Well we had to cheat to win so everyone must be doing it, really f**k off!!!!!!!.

Suck it up MsStorm and cop it on anyone of your chins.

I just wonder if the full amount of the breach will ever be identified

This is the real question.

Transaparency is the key point here and i dont just mean the storm club.

It would be wise of the NRL to not only fully determine the storm breach, ALL the people involved and their culpability, but to ensure that the 2011 season commences with all 16 clubs shown to be fully cap compliant.

Jatz,

I am sure thats what every NRL fan wants. However you cannot now cast doubt on other teams just because melbourne have been caught cheating.

I am sure all clubs will be looked at methodically by the NRL

Im not casting doubt on other clubs.

But looking methodically at ALL clubs (as you say) is precisely my point here. And specifically by the time the 2011 season starts. All clubs must be KNOWN to be cap compliant.

Perception is reality so if anyone cannot see the level playing field from where they sit then their perception will be that they are too deep in the trench to see.
