NRL judiciary gone mad

Tariq Sims, suspended for errr, falling on a player and getting off him
Tagatese suspended for a tackle that went marginally wrong, no malice was shown, no one was hurt or even put in any danger whatsoever.
Junior Paulo suspended for a good tackle

Great week at the judiciary guys

Great f**king work. I am completely at a loss to describe what is going on with any of these charges. Honestly. I've seen worse tackles in soccer matches between the under eights.

Actually Neilsen was helped off the field and didn't return...it looked pretty horrible at the time. No malice I agree, but still deserving of a suspension.

Agree the judiciary is all over the place and inconsistent as hell.

Of the incidents I saw - the tagatese tackle gone wrong, the foot trip, and the chicken wing on matai - why the hell weren't the offenders off for 10 in the bin? All were blatant, and the refs on the field even saw the replays. Whole system is a joke.

Junior Paulo getting three weeks for what was just a strong tackle, and Reynolds getting the same for being a piece of shit...

Wow.

The officiating in this game is just bullshit. Surely they are just taking the piss now.

The saddest thing is that everyone knew the Reynolds gradings would be a joke immediately after the game.

Was the eye-gouge bad? It looked horrific in the still image shown on fox sports news but still photos can be misleading. Thing about eye-gouging is that you either did it (lowest of the low acts, 10+ weeks) or you didn't (accidental contact, no citing). How can they justify one week?

Greenburg obviously had a say in Reynolds suspension. What a f**king joke.

Oh please, you give him and the administration way too much credit, as if incompetence isn't the most likely reason for everything when it comes to NRL management.

Agree with this. Reality is, if it had been a legit eye-gouge, the Souffs player would have got up having a whinge (and fair enough too). The fact that no one knew anything of it until Slothfield's articles speaks volumes. Has there been any footage or are they simply going to rely on one still frame?

Anything less than 6-8 weeks for Reynolds' various indiscretions is also a joke.

The eye gouge was so intentional that the Dave Tyrell didn't even complain about it. In an age where guys like thaiday and ennis act like they are shot at any instance to try and gain a penalty, don't you think a player who was eye gouged might say something or even react to it?

No body even knew about this 'eye gouge' until a photographer release a pic of it.

So Tariq got 50% of the same charge that Reynolds got (minus his loading)??

That to me is very hard to justify.

Two weeks for Reynolds blatantly and intentionally tripping someone. Forget the other charges. He got two weeks for that. Wow. Even with his reputation for being a piece of shit. I guess most other people would be let off with a warning and their word they won't do it again.

Shit, I missed that completely.
Thanks for putting me right.

Didn't look like anything on replay, just an awkward fall.
I have seen far less go on.

I wonder if anything would have happened had Neilsen not gone off?

The funny thing is if Reynolds breaks Barba's leg then I would imagine it would be 5-6 weeks..

Burgess deserved three weeks and Luke probably nothing

Eye gouge should be 6 minimum

Tagatese was accidental but dangerous so 3 - 4 weeks .. again if neilsen gets a bad injury then the penalty would have been a lot more ..

Seems you need to cause a injury to get a big suspension

I didn't see the Tagatese incident. How did it compare to Reynolds tackle on Tate in Origin 1?

George Burgess should have got 6 weeks, Reynolds the same.

Why Issac Luke was charged is beyond me, the others are fine.

FMD, they are kidding themselves. It's hard to keep watching such a poorly officiated sport.

2 Weeks for Reynolds is an absolute farce. Apparently tripping is a totally minor non-incident these days, even if you hack at their legs like a f**king lumberjack. Farce.
