Who cares what the marketing campaign is for any year. All they ever do is show it on FTA tv for about a week at the start of the season never to be seen again unless you have Fox.

I was watching Sports Tonight for the first time in a LONG time the other night (I don't recall which night it was) and they said that 2007 is the last year of the 'That's My Team' campaign. Obviously, they haven't come up with the new campaign starting in 2008 just yet.

I just felt it was worth mentioning.

As KFC has said the budget is limited.

People know less about the goings-on within professional sport than they'd like to believe.

News has to recoup it's money lost on the SL war hence bugger dollars for marketing. The result is a marketing campaign that preaches to the converted and is mainly shown on Fox Sports where many of the already converted hang out.

Rugby League has made a dent in the AFL
over the last 3 years or so and that can
only be a good thing. Historically our officials
tend to rest on their results a little once things
go well and then things slide for a few years.
Let's hope they " mantain the rage" so to speak.

Tina Turner is making a comeback as the
musical "face of league" soon, I wonder if that
is a good step or a big step backwards ?
