Matt Rogers was born and raised in NSW wasn't he? I seem to recall him being eligible for both states for one reason or another but chose QLD.

The more black and white they can make the eligibility rules the better. They should take any ambiguity out of it, especially such nonsense as asking the player which state they "feel" they belong to. You either played your first senior footy somewhere or you didn't. If the player feels that strongly about it they can simply not play SOO.

The only other change now that the need to make is to remove the "to play SOO you must play for Australia" part of it.

I think he went to high school on the Gold Coast and played rugby there.

Why they are sorting out who can play for who at SOO its about time they sorted out the rules at international level and made sure that once you have played for a country at senior level there is no going back.
