Thank f**k they're finally referring to it as Rugby League

And like I've said 486 times- they will just assume it's the league/organisation he played in, not a different sport...

Ie- to finally kill this stupid point, their sport is the national football LEAGUE, do we really think chucking league at the end of rugby will make an American think it is a different sport...

RTS has the athletic capability but does he understand the game? That's the advantage Hayne had as he's followed NFL for a long time.

Yes Haynes dedication through endless hours on the play station cannot be replicated.

Back to topic NRL should be pushing hard to get NRL on US TV. Seems yanks are screaming for something to watch during the offseason.

Imagine we had never heard of gridiron.

You hear a player was from the national football league.

Would you say he played football ? Or football league ?

You mean like cancelling the Panthers v Broncos Hawaii game (funded by the Hawaiian government) because of player burnout concerns?

That was micky mouse stuff.

No to take real advantage of this the NRL should take an Australia v NZ test or Origin match to San Francisco.

Can't just have a meaningless club match - needs to at least look like a big deal.

That's not exactly true. The game will probably go ahead, just not at the end of this year.

If they game went ahead, the RFL would rightly feel snobbed.

Makes me laugh when people are worried others will follow, there is not another athlete that would make it currently playing in the NRL. Hayne is just a freak, biggest shame is he played at a basketcase club while in the NRL.

I'd say the bigger shame was when Hayne single-handedly dragged his shitful team to the GF, only to be beaten by a filthy Newscorp team who systematically cheated the cap and every RL fan along with it.

Who or where are these people that are "worried others will follow"? It would seem like you are laughing to yourself because you are a window-licking troll cork sucker.

More so the desire to learn.

This was Hayne's dream, he was going to put everything he had into it.

If players are going to go over there because of potential pay days or it would be "nice" to give it a try then they're going to struggle.

Hayne is definitely an exception rather than a rule.

Indeed, there are only a few in the NRL who would have a chance of making it in the NFL, G Inglis could if he's fit, he would have 5 yrs ago. B Ferguson, R Tuivasa-Sheck possibly, D Boyd possibly, A Milford, B Marshall.

Also, every sport is simple, it's only sport.

I just laugh at these pundits who try and make out that rugby union and American Football can only be played by academic geniuses.
