NRL misses out on $$$$$$$ for merchandise purely because the image rights are way WAY too high and it’s the stuff that gets kids in. So yeah, the nrl could take a leaf out of AFLs book.

NRL also need to continue on the membership drives, crowd boosting and better scheduling.

But that would involve copying some things that the AFL does better than the NRL and we can't have that.

Stick to arguing about tv ratings where the NRL wins. If you cherrypick moments in time when on a particular Friday or Saturday the NRL beat the AFL in crowds that just shows desperation.

Even PVL doesn't argue crowd numbers when comparing with the AFL as he knows he can't win that argument as AFL crowd averages are almost double the NRL. He just sticks to tv ratings or how NRL crowd numbers have grown YoY.

They club thinks Canberra is part of western Sydney

Afl ranks last in terms of junior participation in western Sydney

Their last game got 18k people in Sydney watching them on channel seven

Their crowds are awful

Last time I checked their financials membership and sponsorship had fallen by millions

If you want to say the giants are strong financially why does the afl give them 26 to 28 million when the strong afl clubs get 16 million
