C’mon the Sharkies, I can’t pick a winner atm, probably need to watch more, but happy if they can top Melbourne.

25-12, Sharks. Halftime. But now 25-22! Here come Melbourne...31-26, the Sharks are fatigued but are holding on. Four mins to go...lost ball by Coates! Game over?...Full set by Cronulla...

42 seconds left, Storm need to go the length...can the miracle men of Melbourne do it?

...no. Sharks hold on for a 31-26 win. It ends with a big blue. Careful, guys. Some of you are playing Origin!

Gee has put the whistle away here, play the balls are snails pace, and even when the Storm were deliberately trying to give a penalty away he didn’t whistle it

interesting point from Ennis, the big halves that the Storm have been rattling up have been daytime footy in good conditions. It hasn’t clicked the same with the damper surfaces at night

Just been watching the highlights of the Manly game. Ive never seen a guy go round the goal post and back into the field of the play when trying to score a try. That was new!

GF is at night...was last year, too.

Xavier Coates - "Hold my beer"
The AFL crowd will love him in Melbourne after that.

I loved Talakai's reverse flick pass for Atkinson's first try even better. That's a crazy skill set for a big guy. I read an article from Mark Graham during the week, saying that there were only 4 guys on the field who had any influence or skill, and the rest are crash and bash robots (paraphrase). He couldn't be more wrong.

Just caught some of the post match from the Manly game

SJ to DCE - “how are you finding my old mate Jazz at dummy half”

DCE “ My ankles are sore from catching his passes”

SJ “hahahaha mine are still recovering”
I was loving SJs work yesterday. He’s well spoken and insightful when he plays it straight and does the footy analysis stuff but he loosens up and gets into the banter with the other players and has genuine rapport with them. It’s great to see.

Absolutely disgraceful forward pass let go for the Broncos first try, he was even standing in front of the passer
The saying 'you literally had one job' applies here. The touchie has nothing else to do here other than be in line with the play, which is easy to do as a scrum just packed 10m back the other way.

These guys are imbeciles. I keep saying it, union refs have a rule book written in Swahili and printed in braille, but somehow make a decent fist of it. All we ask referees to do is monitor balls that travel forward and back out of hands, and they can't manage it.

You can tell a lot about an attitude from a long range try, we just saw Liddell running in quicksand trying to get to the line, and 10m behind him Mariner is jogging back on the chase, he is meant to be one of the quickest around

I have barely picked a winner this weekend, but actually managed to catch a few games… officiating has been poor, but the games fun
