I have barely picked a winner this weekend, but actually managed to catch a few games… officiating has been poor, but the games fun

As a fan who remembers how shit it is to support a club with major culture issues, it heartens me further that we don't have that to worry about in the current era.

You can tell a lot about an attitude from a long range try, we just saw Liddell running in quicksand trying to get to the line, and 10m behind him Mariner is jogging back on the chase, he is meant to be one of the quickest around

If I was a junior coach, or even an NRL coach, I'd play that clip and get them to point out where the guts and attitude are, and where the laziness lies, and who won.

Liddle had zero right to score that. Shit he's a hell of a player - reasonably limited skill-wise but is there a player in the comp who has a bigger dig?

Absolutely, he would be the heart and soul of a club looking for genuine 'follow me' leaders. I'd have him in a heartbeat on good money. He got a standing O coming on the other day for Cook, was that against us? Can't remember.

I've always wondered about video sessions. Like I wonder about this week, do they all say to DWZ WTF are you doing, man? Are they actually hard on each other, or does it get glossed over? I feel like it would be good to hear from someone like SJ on how this looks, especially when you have a stinker or after the 66-0 on the GC last year, how does that go?

I think in fairness, SJ was in a horrible headspace in 2022. I know in listening to him at times, he got incredibly down through the COVID times, being away from a young family.
