NRL Rd 13 2022 - General Non-Warriors Thread

Origin round, a bit of a bludge, really. Although, I love the fact there's NRL games all weekend and the Origin is in its traditional Wednesday night slot.

We'd usually see some struggling teams take advantage of the Origin stars being in camp, we'll see if that is the go this year.

Tonight, interesting, Titans v Cowboys. The latter will be smarting after being shown up by Penrith last week. Once again, if the GC can go eighty minutes, then it's close. But they can't.

Friday, an under strength Panthers should still hold out the Dogs. Penrith just have a great roster, and talent to spare. The Bulldogs interim coach is yet to see his bounce.

Saturday at Brookvale it's not the NRL's showpiece, that's for sure. It should still be an entertaining watch though, both sides are reasonably even, with coach Brown, especially, under enormous pressure. Dessie will be hungry for a win too, his reputation demands better results.

Sunday, let's close out with the Raiders v Roosters. Two teams with some key personnal out. Canberra need this though, they really do. The Roosters? They're on track to finish in the top-six quite comfortably but may have a flat feeling, knowing, ultimately, that Penrith will be just too good, for every team, in the end.

Enjoy.

See, the Titans came out with a hiss and a roar but now they're three tries to one down at the break! Three costly errors too.

No wonder there's a small crowd at Robina.

Panthers are great. We already knew that. Falls had an excellent debut. Sullivan was good as well. Even with all of their Origin players. they still have some handy players don't they. Fisher Harris best on ground. Eisenhuth is no Yeo, but he filled in well enough.

Addo Carr and Burton made statements, I think. Was also impressed by Corey Waddell.

I noticed the Fox pointing to the Bulldogs logo on his chest, with passion. It was good to see but I hope his heart's in it.

Someone told me Penrith's last game at their beloved old stadium this year is against us? That will be an occasion unbefitting the homeside's opponents.

I'll go though.

Not sure I want to watch tonight, had a dream that the Warriors won 2-0, and the bunker took a 45m chip and chase try off Marty Taupau ;)
I turned down a ticket from my mate (member), offered it to another mate who is a diehard Warriors fan, also turned it down, the member was going to not bother going (he lives a 5 minute walk from the ground) but was chatting with his neighbour who has never been to a game so now he's reluctantly going.

That's a grim dream alright. Me? As said, I don't want Morgan Harper anywhere near match-winning points!

I went past Brookvale on a bus the other week. Gee, that new stand looks the goods. It's just really well done. I would've got out for a closer look if I was in my car.

Looks outstanding mate, I love the hill but the drawings for the future look great too

can’t wait for this bloody fight I couldn’t give a toss about today to be over so it can stop infiltrating the league coverage relentlessly

There's no love lost between the Raiders and Roosters! Both coaches have also had success with the Chooks.

The Raiders are up 12-6 at the break in a very scrappy game thus far.

Raiders have certainly turned things around, been very good recently

what was going on earlier was embarrassing

Fogerty and Crawley are bog average at best, but offering do much more than our halves

Raiders hold out for a close win, 22-16.

Halfway through the season. Look at us. We're in big trouble now.

The Raiders have turned things around a bit, but they're still 11th. Manly at 10th, the Roosters seventh, etc, etc.
