I remember as a young bloke buying the pack of cards with the bubblegum and being amazed when I flipped the old looking blokes card over that he had 112 tries100 tries is a fair effort, I remember when the great Brett Kenny reached it, similarly plagued by injuries I guess
Shame Tom plays for the bad guys
18-12, Cows. Halftime. Momentum was with Brisbane towards the end of it. Walsh playing in the halves? No, I probably heard that wrong.Cows finally get called for a forward pass.
So many poor teams. Penrith and Melbourne really are the only two that you can be confident in. Roosters can play to that level, then a fair gapThere was talk of Walsh training in the halves all week. What a showpony, have never seen a player carry on for the entire game with an injury like he just did
Frustrating, I was tipping the Broncos all week but when it came time to enter them I thought surely at home the Cowboys have too much to play for
Even those ones have the performances in them where they look extremely beatable, especially the Storm. So many poor teams. Penrith and Melbourne really are the only two that you can be confident in. Roosters can play to that level, then a fair gap
In Sydney, Warriors fans were always great after a big win, they lit up every train station for starters.Couple of streaks look set to end
Dogs last played finals in 2016, certain to play this year, and barring injury, Luke Brooks looking at playing his first finals game after debuting in 2013
Do you think? I think this year has been the best in many years for quality. The Tigers, ok they're the basket case they always are, the Eels have been pretty shit...but the other sides have all had their moments, even us.So many poor teams. Yep, I do - Penrith are an historically great side, the best since I've been watching (Sterlo Kenny Eels) - all things being equal, despite them powering the Dogs to the top 8 with their talent, I couldn't back anyone to beat them when it counts. The Roosters have talent and a chequebook, but Melbourne beat them to an inch of their lives, the Dogs and Cronulla are honest sides, but limited, Manly have talent, but well short of the top - the rest have been at best inconsistent, at worst, awfulDo you think? And yeah, the Panthers and Storm are a class above but it wouldn't surprise me at all to see the Dogs, Sea Eagles or Roosters tip either of them over, moreso the Storm I guess.
Yea I dunno... in isolation, Crichton's behaviour looks iffy but I often see players using their heads to control the ruck speed by pushing them into opposition players' heads. Not headbutting obviously, just pushed against them to limit movement.Thoughts on the Crichton/Flanagan incident ?
For me, Crichton had 3 goes pushing his face into Flanagan who is on his back, Flanagan shouldn’t be getting too much when Crichton forces his nose into his gob
