NRL Rookie Show

Be interesting to see how some of the guys from the local park footy sides fare against some of the guys who've competed at an elite level. Based off their backgrounds I'd say the 3 favourites would be Lou Goodwin, Dan Caprice and Peter Lee.
Goodwin captained the roosters at NYC level and might have made first grade if he didn't go back to the bush, Caprice and Lee have represented England and Australia respectively at rugby 7s, pretty sure Caprice represented England at the Comm games.

Which team does the recruit get signed too? I'm assuming Gold Coast Titans as they are owned by the NRL?

I watched a similar type show a couple of years ago on Fox about AFL. The winner went to Port Adelaide and I don't think he has been heard of again. The AFL show was much better than this one but then again they weren't handicapped by having Fittler on it.

I think I read somewhere that the NRL clubs get to vote on the winner at the end and the winner can choose from any club who voted for them.

So the building challenge played no part at all in the final decision. What a waste of time. Just served to embarrass that poor bloke who obviously has a major issue with heights. Jumping off buildings is a vital part of Rugby League so I'm sure it will effect him in the long run.

It might come in handy if you want to stomp on some guy's nuts from a great height.

The final three are selected at the moment then in August they go to the live final and the clubs vote on the winner. The player selected then chooses which club (from the clubs that voted for them) to get a 1 year contract. The contract is not counted under the salary cap.

Did the two teams, and now this 1 team work out so every player was a different position? Cos if not, how would the new 14 go with no halves/no fullback etc? Surely you just played off against opposing position- 1:2 chance of making it?

A vein attempt to cash in on blokes who watch reality shows...Not watching it after seeing what it's parts are formed of.
