Nrl Should Act On Souths

The court ruled in the NRL favour allowing them to decide which teams are allowed to play in the comp and they should no use this power with souths as follows - if souths refuse then they are omitted from the comp in 2007.

1) Relocate them to the Central Coast with the team to be called the Central Coast Rabbitohs

2) Appoint a new coach who will have full control on appointments and retention/signing of players i.e Chris Anderson

3) Appoint a new CEO to replace the current one.

4) Appoint a new football board.

No matter if they say the new owners have only just taken over the point is they are not footballer savvy.

Souths train less than any other team and play like it too. Their support is dwindling and they will end up the sydney version of gold coast chargers if relocation and changes are not made.

Souths supporters are living in the past to think that the glory days will return if they stay in sydney and play at telstra. they must relocate and now.

Agree that something has to be done about the Bunnies,however now they are privately owned it should be up to the new owners to sort the garbage out.

What ever they decide to do they need to do it ASAP.The hole that the team is in gets bigger every week and not only do thay risk losing more supporters but who in hell is going to join the playing ranks?

I think they should move the Roosters instead because:
* They are annoying
* Contain wankers
* Most supporters can't remember that their team was BATsh*t! for ages up until about 1998 when you stole Brad Fittler and Matt Sing, the only two players in the comp not told to go back to their original clubs, shock horror.
* Because I just want them out of Sydney...

My points contain as much of a valid argument as yours....absolutely none. What good would it do for the team to have them move...forcefully remove their coach, forcefully remove their CEO and make players travel even further to play from their homes just because they are going a bit sh*t.

NRL can't force jack sh*t. If they try that rubbish they'd be taken to court in a flash and would lose.

Central Coast need Souths and Souths need the Central Coast but Souths fans need to be the ones pushing it or their club is just going to die. It will hurt a bit and will be a bit sad but in the end they will still have team to support and so will their kids in 50 years time. This way things are looking shakey and the next time licences are up what can Souths do if the NRL really does want to kick them out.

Souths may very well end up having to go to the Central Coast....but that is a decision for Souths management. They should not be forced to do anything.
If the NRL provides more incentives then i'd be pretty sure they'd go. But most Souths fans don't want to leave Sydney thats for sure.

NRL decides not to re-new their NRL License when it expires. License is again up for grabs with all interested parties (including Souths) to re-submit applications for the NRL to look at.

Fittler and Sing joined the Roosters in 1996 and they made the finals for nine consecutive seasons until coming 9th last year.

Souths are the ones who should be punted if anyone, atleast the Roosters give us someone to hate.
