I'm pretty sure you mean the 1988 Olympic theme, "the Olympic spirit". They used to play it for grand finals.

The olympic spirit is fantiastic, and immediately makes me think of Grand Finals or origins. Thanks to those who identified it, I've wondered what it's called for years. Does anyone know if it's still used though? I don't recall hearing it for several years! If not it needs to be brought back!!!

Also the version used at league matches is a bit slower than the one that is linked to ... either that or its a vinyl and they're playing it at the wrong speed haha.

That would be great, if they play that song on GF night when they run out onto the field, you wont get a better feeling. The song makes it sound and feel like a big event, and I hope they do play it, rather than the Puff Daddy song.

I think I've heard them use Eminem's 'Lose yourself' sometimes in origin when the players walk out as well. Just the start of the song when the beat kicks in.
