They seem to be a Queensland thing. They wanted to put a statue of a cane toad up at the place they were released but the Govt wouldn't pay for it.

I know this, I know he played 18 games for NSW before his 1 game for Qld.
Just don't get the Lang Park connection

He also played for Redcliffe in 1964-65 and 1981. Winning their only premiership pre-Broncos in 1965 and signing off on his great career in the 1981 grand final, beaten on the bell by a last minute try to Souths.

He also spent many years as coach of Qld.

Plus it's a spiritual thing. He's seen as an icon and turning point in QLD rugby league, no longer would their players be taken by NSW and play against their home state.

Haven’t they and he played mostly out of ballymore?

Lang park is a rugby league ground.
Well rugby league is what has built it into the world class stadium that it is anyway

Have you ever seen what Ballymore looks like now? It’s just an abandoned pile of rust with tube tv’s and trees growing out of the roofs. It’s a QLD sporting thing and not having Eales in a QLD walk of fame is insanity.

Then put it at ballymore when it’ clearly belongs
