I would say that Laffranchi and Walker would be short odds to be suspended for that one and the extended bench seems to indicate that Cartwright thinks the same thing.

I'm pissed off this week. I have to go out to Picton and should get home by around 3pm, so I'm unable to watch the Souths v Tigers game at the SCG live, but would have been able to catch the majority of it live at home. Being the Channel 9 game, I will get to see the entire thing, but it's delayed and that pisses me off. I would actually rather miss some of it live then see the whole thing delayed. Fkn stupid channel nine! If they aren't prepared to show two live games next time the rights come round, they shouldn't be allowed to have the game at all.

At what point does John Cartwright realise he needs some attacking centres?

Scott Prince is a great player and Campbell is a very good secondary playmaker but when your attacking options at centre are up and down guys like Brett 'How many hitups did I have this week' Delaney and Josh 'I was supposed to be a really dangerous runner when I played union' Graham - the Titans will continue to struggle to put sides away. The respective wingers Walker and Gordon look dangerous when they get the ball but they hardly get it with Delaney and Graham inside them.

And if Laffranchi is out as well... there's goes attacking option #1 on the edge of the ruck.

Leaving the Titans with - what Minichiello on the left and Prince running it himself as the go-to moves.

Cartwright had it right a few weeks back when Rogers played at centre and Campbell moved to 5/8 with Zillman at the back... and what was the result?

A win over the Rabbitohs who I've think played better than the Knights did against the Titans.

This safe option at centre has become a bit of a plague in the NRL the last couple of seasons - and NSW better not do the same thing and pick both Jamie Lyon and Matt Cooper there... esp if Joel Monaghan is on one of the wings... that combo (like the Titans one) scares no one let alone QLD's backline.

Anyhoo...

On Paper, I reckon that is about the best pack that Souths have named since we were minor premiers all those years ago. Bench is a little ordinary, but when Sutto comes back from injury, hopefully that will mean that either Crocker or Kidwell goes to the bench and replaces Geddes or J.Lowe. That being the case, we will have a pretty sweet pack and a pretty handy bench as well.

Looking at the Broncos bench Wapau will drop off for McCullough or one of the other forwards will as I don't see them going with no reserve hooker.

Wow. Certainly didn't expect Crocker to get a run so soon.

Been training with the Storm all year. Apparently he is in tip top shape. Heard he was supposed to have a run with the Bears last week as we had the bye but they didn't get his contract sorted out soon enough. Would have liked him to have gone around then, just to get a bit of match fitness and I'm sure had Sutton not been injured, he'd have probably had a stint with the Bears this week, but even if we only get 20 - 30 minutes out of him, that'll be fine.

Does Matt Elliott honestly think he's fooling anyone when he names Nathan Smith on the bench - anyone who has ever watched the Panthers play knows that he will start him with Pritchard on the bench.
