I take your point but the kid's problem is that he's a specialist fullback...

Plenty of specialist Fullbacks play wing in reps and for their clubs. I'm just trying to find out if there is a reason or if Anderson just thinks he's only a Fullback. If he does, why would the kid stay at the Roosters?

He was a diamond in a bucket of turds last season.

I'm surprised that they have Myles on the bench. They paid top dollar for a benchie.

And it will be interesting to see how the old Cronulla bookends go after their stint in the Old Dart.

Not a bad side.

Amos Roberts is injured and I've heard some decent things about Kenny Dowall, he's a big fella with a lot of pace, if he has good hands, the Chooks have a good player on their hands.

Big question mark is on the Halves IMO. Aubusson has some good wraps on him but can he cut it at first grade in one of the most important positions? Will Lewis improve on last years promising form?

Forwards have a few question marks on it too. Backrow is actually really good IMO. Beattie has some big question marks on him, I only found him ordinary when he used to play 6 years ago, can only see him being worse since then. While Nutley I think will do fine, he's that sort of player.

The bench is solid.

Be interesting to see how the chooks go.

Signing Beattie and Nutley was stupid, they let Morley go for these two? Rooster fans must be still pulling their hair out over this one.

i think thats the chris anderson influence.

he's an alright player nate myles, but that's it. not top class. beattie and nutley are probably past it. fitzgibbon is stilla lright, but probably on the wrong side of his career. Who knows how good Craig Wing is anymore? I don't xcare what anyone says, anasta is not a lock. Halves don't look too good to me either. Roosters will struggle this year under the retrograde Anderson.

Where's David Shillington? I think he's a real good young player

Nigel Plum also not a bad player, where's he?

I was only toddling, so it would be fair to say I have never been this confident.

I guess you have every right to be..i'll bring you back down to earth for minute though, when my club signed the Big Canterbury 4 and the Big Cronulla 2 in 1996 I expected to stroll into the semis for the first time since 86..I got a rude shock in the end. ;-)

We won't make the 8, I know that. But as a club we are making enormous strides forward in every department.

Just being competitive will be a change from the last 15 years. And we will be very competitive.

I reckon it will be the same to this fixture every year. Souths take an early lead at half time, then in the second half roosters tear them apart. I'll got Easts 30-18
