Both Manchester soccer clubs started as small community clubs. Salford alone has little upside for investors.
It’s half the population of Manchester
And doesn’t have two massive soccer clubs to compete with
Salford council have loaned the club loads of money and are giving them a sweet stadium deal where they keep the bar and match day takings
The club can trace its roots back to 1873 before the formation of the northern union or even the rugby football union
They need money. They’ve haven had it since the 1970s except for a few years under Marwan koucash
Getting a decent sized stadium that is actually in Manchester is also an issue
Old Trafford and man city would be awful given the crowds they get
English super league has taken games on the road to Manchester before (Wigan st Helen’s Leeds?) the crowds were ok nothing special
