At the start of the season maybe- but we’ve looked finals bound for most of the year so this is hardly a new development. How many weeks have we spent outside the top 8? Would be 3 or 4 tops all season.

Plus Eden Park has a noise curfew after a certain time.

Yeah, this is the issue I thought of as well, that sits alongside many others.

There's no chance they make us play at 10pm, none. It would be an absolute joke, and they can't be seen to preside over that.

As others have said, yes we've been a basket case for years but over the past 2 months we've looked more and more likely to host a final, whether that was for finishing in the top 4 or top 6. The NRL fixturing staff should have done better with this, it's hard to believe they didn't give it more than a cursory 'oh shit, look NZ might have a game in an 8pm EST slot, maybe we should look at options'. That way, any decision to move the NRLW (if that happens) would be softened, rather than the blow the women may see it as now that they get bumped for the men.
