Laurie spends an hour driving each way and another half hour in make up and then has to wait out for 58 minutes for his two minute slot. That's 3 and half hours wasted to do 2 minutes of TV.

Roach blew massive loads all over the 360 desk and other panel members talking at length about biff in the 80's/90's last night, never seen a dude get so chubbed up about tough guys punching on stories.

Ben Ikin could at least move on to the next subject if he thought the floss coming out of Kentys mouth was over the top in its stupidity.

Vonnie has no control and seems to delight in being as stupid as possible. Lara Pitt would be a better bet than Vonnie. Lara at least knows Rugby League

The whole "Battle of Brookie" thing to try and publicise the Manly v Melbourne game was ridiculous.

I'd rather watch the Dragons 2021 season games on loop in a dark, wet room than watch this show these days.

Tonight, I actually tried to watch it live but gave up and closed it; the first 15 minutes consisted of an annoying Nable-narrated vignette, followed by "What's the matter Parramatta?" discussion for the billion time, followed by another vignette (not Nable narrated). That'll do me. And then at the bottom of the screen, "Coming up! Benny Elias & Steve Roach "Contract Tales,". WHO CARES? And between all that, they run a heap of ads anyway.

I am not saying that you need to have played the game to talk about it, but this show starts with a panel every night of four individuals and no one has played the game at a high level. At least in the past when the journos get hysterical (in fairness, most of them either work for a tabloid or a click-bait website, so they are delivering what their employers want), Ikin would ease in and say something sensible (and usually in a dismissive, ‘let’s move on’ kind of way). I have a lot of time for Vonnie as she obviously knows her stuff and seems a nice person, but she just doesn’t have the gravitas with the other people around the table; they don’t respect her and she knows it, and so whenever she interjects she does it with a laugh.

Lara used to interject with good points and would have been great in the role. But Kent and Hooper obviously were intimidated by being taken in by a strong woman and she is now gone. To be fair, she is better off on Big League Wrap; at least that is a show about rugby league.

Kent last night said that the Rabbitohs had a near-reserve grade team when flogged by the Panthers in Dubbo in round 11. The truth is, the only significant out was Cam Murray. No-one bothered to correct him.

The best thing about that result was that they all jumped off the Rabbitohs horse they'd been riding so hard, if only for a short while. Maybe it is about to happen again.
