i'm not that massive a fan of the snake draft format, tbh. i don't see how it is more fair than a staggered. pretty sure it's aussie holding up the show (thus far).

Pfft, it's much fairer.

In a snake draft the guy picking 1st (huge advantage) then doesn't pick again until pick 20.

In a staggered draft the guy picking first also gets pick 2 in Round 2, pick 3 in Round 3, etc. While the guy picking 7th gets pick 8 in Round 2, pick 9 in Round 3, etc.

Not fair at all...

Personally, I hate the Snake Draft anyway - not the fairest drafting method but that's an argument for another day.

I don't see how anyone can argue that in a staggered draft the guy picking 1st overall doesn't have a huge advantage over everyone else

So can the draft proceed at the moment or is the site down?

staggered only advantages the guy picking first in the first spin of picks, after that it's an even 10 pick gap for everyone until they cycle to the top of the list. i see what you mean by the first pick then waiting until turn 20, but they then get 2 picks in a row to make up for that gap, too. i don't see any significant advantage at all... and i'd be surprised if the maths did either.

Yea my next pick is last from the next round and I move up after that.

i'm happy enough with either draft type. as i said, i'm not convinced that, over the course of the entire draft, that one is particularly advantageous over another. i do see what ab is saying, he could easily be right, however i generally feel that the advantage is marginal between the 2 drafts.
