A bit rich to label this a Grand Final after a tournament lasting 3 rounds with no semi finals or preliminary finals. Anyway, the Broncos have been the best side and deserve to win this.

I don't know why the name of the match is in dispute, it's the deciding championship match in an Australian competition. Once it expands it'll make more sense and tbh, there's no point giving it a different name because it was a short competition.

Broncos were very impressive against the Warriors and the Roosters have pulled their proverbials out.
considering the Broncos only won 14-4 against a Roosters team that was struggling apart from their middle it will be a great game and I believe it could go either way

The term grand final was introduced in RL at least when the final was not necessarily the competition decider, originally because the minor premiers had a right of challenge. So you had to have something higher than the final. In this tournament, final would have been more correct.

My point remains, why would they have a different name for it in the first season when it would almost certainly attract the Grand Final name in later years.

Just call it the same thing from the start.

The 'Grand Final' is synonymous with rugby league. Its even rubbed off with us here in NZ. When I played union, we called the final - the final. In league we call the final - grand final. No real sleep before those games.

Theres a few players like that. They see themselves on camera doing nothing and instantly they're like 'right um get back guys, you go over there, you get off, I mean make up for it'.

This match is a slaughter. Such a difference between the 2 teams. Feterika, Hancock and Arakua are incomparable to the Roosters forwards. They dont brace for their runs before impact. Just smash it up and hit hard in defense. Awesome work!

Meanwhile Sims is missing tackles and throwing dodgy passes non stop. The energy coming from Brisbane looks like this could be an avalanche scoreline.

Ive seen 3 games so far but never Brisbane. Dominance makes sense now. Looks like the benchmark team for the league is set. Hope the others catch up quick. I enjoy the league, but will need a WT team to feel more emotional investment.

Shame there aren’t more people here at the ground. It’s pretty cold to be able to attend the first ever women’s grand final and I hope I can look back and say I was one of the few people there supporting it when it started out. There is so much potential here and I hope the game just keeps on growing.

Also give us a side in Newcastle! There is a lot of support for rugby league in the hunter and I can’t wait jump on board with a local team.
