After watching both wests teams today take it to Parramatta I'd have t think both Matts Props Bucky Smapati and Josh Cullen are in the mix along with winger Daniel Tavae.

In the Ball Mitch Brassington (6) and forwards Sam Atuau(9) and Inno Inosesio(13) would have to be close.

Surely there'd be more Dogs in that 18's side other than Karipa, who by the way, I think is a Kiwi.

Pretty sure any player playing in the NSWRL cop ie. HM or Ball is eligible to be picked to play for NSW regardless of where they from.

I did say under my suggested team "Im sure there should be more dogs in there but having only seen them once in a loss to the magpies Im not sure who." Open to suggestions, like to see what others think who have seen the dogs and other play more than I have.

I'd be going with these two teams

NSW Under 16

1. Tyrone PHILLIPS - South Sydney Rabbitohs
2. Joshua WALKER - Penrith Panthers
3. Alan NUILESA - Canterbury Bulldogs
4. Jason GRAY - Cronulla Sharks
5. Daniel TAVAE - Western Suburb Magpies
6. Luke BROOKS - Balmain Tigers
7. Billy KITT - Western Suburb Magpies
8. Frazer MASINAMUA (C) - Parramatta Eels
9. Robbie KAMOTO - Parramatta Eels
10. Jake TRBOJEVIC - Manly Sea Eagles
11. Kelepi TANGINOA - Parramatta Eels
12. Jake LAWRENCE - Newcastle Knights
13. Daniel ALTERIO - Western Suburb Magpies

14. Fabian NATOLI - Manly Sea Eagles
15. Jakiel FUIMAONO - Penrith Panthers
16. Kalausa LEHA - Parramatta Eels
17. Pauli PAULI - Parramatta Eels

The forwards look very strong, especially with the likes of Jakiel Fuimaono and Pauli Pauli not being able to crack a starting spot due to having Frazer Masinamua and Jake Trbojevic there. The backs are very quick and they have a great young fullback in Tyrone Phillips who is dominating the Harold Matthews comp. Bryce Cartwright would have been the 13 but is our injured for the season.

NSW Under 18

1. William HOPOATE - Manly Sea Eagles
2. Brayden WILLIAME - Melbourne Storm
3. Suia LAPUAHO - Canterbury Bulldogs
4. Cheyse BLAIR - Sydney Roosters
5. Chris TARIPO - Canterbury Bulldogs
6. Jacob MILLER - Sydney Roosters
7. Harry SEIJKA - Penrith Panthers
8. Matthew GROAT - Western Suburb Magpies
9. Alai TAUFAAO - Newcastle Knights
10. Jack STOCKWELL - St George Illawarra Dragons
11. Lachlan BURR - Canterbury Bulldogs
12. Alex McKINNON (C) - St George Illawarra Dragons
13. Inno INNOSESIO - Western Suburb Magpies

14. Chad REDMAN - Newcastle Knights
15. Rodney MOEFAAUO - Cronulla Sharks
16. Nathan CLARKE - Manly Sea Eagles
17. Tyrone VIIGA - Cronulla Sharks

This side will cause all sorts of headaches. It is extremely strong across the entire park and would be a very hard task to beat them. It contains the likes of William Hopoate, Jacob Miller, Cheyse Blair and Harry Seijka who are all in the NRL fulltime squad for their respective NRL clubs. Boyd Cordner would have been the 13 but is our injured for the season, much like young Bryce Cartwright in the Under 16s. Inno Innosesio has been a standout in the SG Ball comp and would be a definite bolter to make the team.

In regards to selection eligibility, if you are a Kiwi you are not eligible to represent NSW in the junior reps anymore unless you state that you will make yourself available for Australian selection in the future. The rule have changed since the introduction of the Under 16 and Under 18 rep teams.

I thought I'd have a good crack at the QLD Under 18 side as well.

QLD Under 18

1. Maipele MORSEAU - Melbourne Storm
2. Lachlan MARANTA - Brisbane Broncos
3. Aaron WHITCHURCH - Brisbane Broncos
4. Kirisome AUVA'A - Melbourne Storm
5. Kyle FELDT - North Queensland Cowboys
6. Ben HAMPTON - Melbourne Storm
7. Jordan MEADS - Melbourne Storm
8. Cale HOBDAY - Manly Sea Eagles
9. Jay LOBWEIN - Townsville Stingers
10. Darcy HORGAN - Penrith Panthers
11. Korbin SIMS - Brisbane Broncos
12. Mitchell FREI (C) - Brisbane Broncos
13. Ben MALLEY - Brisbane Broncos

14. Dean BLACKMAN - Parramatta Eels
15. Mboya ADAMS - Easts Tigers
16. Tennyson ELLIOTT - Brisbane Broncos
17. Jason TAUMALOLO - North Queensland Cowboys

I think to make the side you should be showing a bit more than just being in a clubs nrl training squad. Seems harry sejka has alot of competion this year and hasnt really set the world on fire. Parra's halves have been playing well, then there's mccallum, miller, langi.
For the 16's what about parra's lock, he was aust schoolboy 13 last year, has been in the team of the week twice this year.

Agree with Seijka. He hasn't lived up to the expectations in my opinion. He just hasnt come on as people thought and at the moment I don't think he should be the selection for the NSW 18s at 7.

Bryce Cartwright's injury is not as bad as first thought apparently and may be back in a couple of weeks. Huge boost for Penriths Harold Mat's chances. If fit he is a must at Lock for NSW.

Jakiel Fuimaono is a machine and should also be in the 17's for NSW.

I assume your talking about Chad McGill from Parramatta. He is a good player but I haven't seen much of him to choose him in the side. On the other hand, Daniel Alterio has been very dominant in the matches I've seen him in. But if Bryce Cartwright from Penrith id fit, he should wrap up that 13 jersey for NSW Under 16.

I can't see Harry Seijka missing the team but if he does, it'd most likely be Jacob Miller partnered with either Tyler Sullivan (Newcastle), Jason Wehbe (Parramatta) or Gerard McCallum (Bulldogs). IMO Jacob Miller is already assured a position in the halves as he is the best five-eighth/halfback in his age group. I expected Samisoni Langi from the Bulldogs to push for a spot but he hasn't really been as dominant as what I thought he'd be. He is still a very good player though.

Japeth Vaoa is one player that comes to mind that will push for a spot in the backs for the QLD Under 18 side but I can't see him getting a spot ahead of the others I already posted earlier unless he starts playing NYC soon. Also look out for Corey McGrady, Matt Beddow and Tom Dawney to also push for spots in the QLD side and Damian Sironen for the NSW side.

The current way selections are carried out will count against both Chad and Bryce. Chad is a chance Bryce will struggle. Selectors at each game give a tick to those who impress at the end of the season those ticks are added up, and if like last season a possible probable match is used then probably two maybe three Locks who have scored the most will get a run to fight it out.

No doubt that Bryce is the best lock on the comp but because he has played so few games he will be up against it to make it. With Chad he hasnt started regularly for Parra. When he has he has been very good but harder to make the team when you are a sub half the time. Will be interesting though.

Two years ago, Ben Picker was selected even though he spent a few games on the sidelines. I'm guessing Daniel Alterio from Wests will get the 13 spot.

Dont think Jakiel has been as dominant as I thought he would be, think he was better last year, Still along way short of Frazier from Parra. That being said think he still one of the best 4 props in the comp and should get selected. I'd be very suprised if Wiki was chosen.

Must admit I completely forgot about the 20s players who are still 18. Very hard to compare them, although I dont think playing 20s gives an automatic start, some like Lachlan Burr are standouts and deserve their spot others Im not so sure about.
