lol you just proved my point to a degree. 3rd best fast bowler int he world and of course pattinson isnt going to be high up because it is built up over time but he is still one of the best atm it would go steyn, anderson, siddle and then patto. its like the test rankings india are ranked second but we are still better than them. might be a hard concept for u nsw fan boy 7th grade wicket keeper to grasp

Well it's about time Victoria pulled their weight, rather than supplying rubbish such as Cameron White.

Former Twenty20 captain Cameron White says he's still good enough to play for Australia..

By Greg Buckle AAP January 31, 2012 6:55PM

Devastated former Australia Twenty20 skipper Cameron White feels his best form is still more than good enough to get him back into the national side.

White was left out of Australia's one-day squad for the 2011 World Cup and has now been overlooked for this week's two-match series of Twenty20 Internationals against India in Sydney and Melbourne.

The aggressive middle-order batsman admits he let himself down with a 55-run season for Melbourne Stars this summer.

"My performance in the Big Bash wasn't great. It was awful," White said.

"I still feel as though that at my best I'm more than good enough to get into the ODI and Twenty20 teams and I still hold hopes of playing Test cricket for Australia.

"I was pretty disappointed. It's no one else's fault.

"My performances weren't good enough.

"If you're not good enough to be in the team, well you're clearly not good enough to be captain of the country.

"I'm devastated and disappointed.

"The only thing I can do now is get back to trying to play as well as I can for Victoria, go back and score some runs, lead the team as well as I can on and off the field, and fight my way back into Twenty20 and one-day selection."

Asked if his international career was over, the four-Test player said he was still hopeful of returning to the top level in all three forms of the game.

"It seems like it's probably a fair way away at the moment but I'm confident it is not over," White said.

"I have faith in my ability."

White said he wasn't giving up on his selection hopes for the World T20 tournament in Sri Lanka in September.

"I've got to go find some runs and get some wickets and play well," he said.

White will captain Victoria in a Sheffield Shield clash with South Australia at Adelaide Oval starting on Thursday, with a one-dayer to follow on Tuesday.

lol..

Brad Haddin has been a fine player for some time - now his time was coming to an end. What's your point?

Get back to me when Victoria produce a decent keeper...

theres one who is playing for victoria right now who is being kept out by a 34 year who is past it and they want to keep on to the ahses nest year:crazy:

Sadly I think his bowling is his biggest asset (fc anyway). If he could score the odd ton and get the batting average up 10 he's be a very handy 6. Without the bowling atm he doesn't justify a spot in the Blues side and even then he barely does when we're missing a few players. I don't really think bowling is costing his batting that badly. Certainly not so much that he'd miraculously start scoring tons if he dropped it completely. With the bowling he's average, without it he'd be a complete nuffy.

He wouldn't turn superstar but he's not good enough to hold down both. He should concentrate on just batting.
