NSW Police are going to school the NRL on how to do an investigation with integrity.

Greenberg: "oh, you DON'T leak updates every morning to New Ltd - I thought it said you DO"

They'll be conducting interviews at the grand final breakfast. It is strange timing considering they've clearly done buggerall for the last 3 months, you'd think another month of inaction wouldn't make any difference.

No coincidence.

It is interesting, the timing and the language about it from the media outlets.

Take the SMH vids here:

I chuckled at the AFL - FootyFix though. LOL. Freudian slip?

But really. I know it's tin foil hat territory but it really is double standards for the two codes.

Like their investigation into the Lindt cafe shooting?

If even half of what is written in the Age website about Foran is true, than I suspect he won't be playing Rugby League again in his life.

http://www.smh.com.au/rugby-league/...to-kieran-forans-account-20160908-grbtkk.html

If true (and its all alleged) there has to be some underlying reason for him to act this way for what are relatively poultry amounts of money compared to what his career earnings could be? Something like a gambling addiction?

It is interesting that he has a lawyer (godfather) now and no agent...
I like that players called to appear are forbidden to talk even to their agents and clubs - in other words once agents and clubs know then News Ltd knows.

I watched the replay of the 1994 Tooheys Challenge Cup last night.

On it, Ray Warren says their friends from the NT, Centrebet, had firmed Souths from 50-1 to 12-1 to make the top 5.

Also relayed, jokingly, because of that, if Souths did make the Top 5, Centrebet would have to close their doors.

Geez I chuckled heartily.

So it seems it was Steve Matai's phone that was seized

There's not much in the article, I still don't get why someone on a $5million contract is going to throw a game for $30,000 or whatever.
