NSW Origin side 2010

Farah is streets ahead of Ennis.

I can't believe people try to argue otherwise.

See, this is why we need the selectors to, right now, contact both players, tell them both that they are in competition with each other. The one who lifts their game, stands out and plays so well they can not be denied a spot, will be chosen.

This is where our selectors need to improve. Identify the possible selections and let them make the decision for them.

The selectors need to do this for
FB: Hayne and Dugan
3/4 line: Dugan, Hayne, J.Morris, B.Morris, Lawrence, Jennings, Tahu, Cooper, Mini and Lyon
Halves: Soward, Pearce, Wallace, Carney, Kimmorley and Barrett.
Hookers: Farah and Ennis
Front row: White, Galloway, Poore, Weyman, Cross, Logan, Ryles, TLL,
Second Row: Gallen, Bird, Waterhouse, Lewis, Watmough, Laffranci, Mark Mini, Hindmarsh, O'Donnell, Tounge, G.Stewart and Creagh.

Dont know where Gidley can be fit, perhaps as utility, but id like to see Preston Cambell get the utility spot. He can play 1,6,7 and 9. Lewis can too but I wouldnt be suprized to see him starting. I can really see Preston having a Matt Bowen like impact.

But our selectors need to contact ALL of those players and tell them that they are watching and if they step up and rise to the challenge, they will be selected.

Dont let any player feel as if they are guarenteed a spot because no NSW player deserves to be guarenteed a spot in the side going off the last 4 years results.

Ennis is too soft. I don't buy that he's suited to Origin.

Last year Farah smacked the sh*t out of Watts. Compare that to Ennis when faced with a biff. He got beat up by Chris Sandow, sh*t himself when faced with big Petro, and literally RAN AWAY from Crocker and hid behind a ref in the last origin game.

Ennis is a massive cat. Whenever someone stands up to him he cowers like a fairy.

Farah is much better suited to Origin. He won't let himself be bullied like Ennis.

When the Tigers are down, Farah busts his gut and forces the issue. Never goes into his shell. Sometimes it doesn't come off, but he can never be accused of being a passenger, unlike Ennis.

Farah went into his shell last year in games 1 & 2 (yes, I also know he was injured at the time) just when NSW needed him the most when both Wallace and Campo fell to pieces. He threw awful passes and failed to really take hold of the game like he does for the Tigers.

That is why people are picking Ennis over him for Origin this year

Personally I want both there

1. Hayne
2. B. Morris
3. Cooper
4. Lawrence
5. Jennings
6. Carney
7. Pearce
8. Weyman
9. Ennis
10. Poore
11. Watmough
12. Creagh
13. Lewis

14. Farah
15. Galloway
16. O'Donnell
17. Tolman

I got rid of Cross mate as I was hard pressed to think of another prop after not seeing much footy over the weekend. This is the hardest area to fill IMO, can go any number of ways and not really be "wrong"

I stand by Poore though. He has the ability and I think he will show it before the teams are announced.

Game one he wasn't bad at all IMO. Game two he was terrible but not alone. Do you honestly think Ennis would have made a difference in game two given the way the rest of the team played (Watmough and Hayne aside?)

Ennis is a passenger unless his team is going well and he is a poor defender.

I say let Ennis struggle, put him in for Game One and I would put cold hard dollars down that he will be an visible failure.

Don't know if any of you have been following my simulator's tips from the NRL forum, but here is the best possible team to choose from for NSW if going by best player ratings in each position;

1 Jarryd Hayne
2 Brett Morris
3 Josh Morris
4 Jamie Lyon
5 Nathan Merritt
6 Jamie Soward
7 Mitchell Pearce
8 Luke Bailey
9 Robbie Farah
10 Michael Weyman
11 Anthony Watmough
12 Ben Creagh
13 Paul Gallen
14 Kurt Gidley
15 Keith Galloway
16 Kade Snowden
17 Anthony Tupou

Doesn't seem half bad to me.

Thats a good team but Why would you put lyon in he did sh*t all last year and i think he dosent really want to play origin, i dont think he has any passion for the jersey. I would rather put someone like Cooper or Tahu who are both faster and stronger and you know they will give it there all and really want to play for the blues

Personally I'm warming to the task of Beau Scott being 1 of the centres. He showed he can also nullify Inglis and in general has been a pretty good player the last couple of seasons.

Snowden is a must.

I know I'm a sharks fan but Ferguson would make a handy choice for one of the wings... B.Morris has one wing spot but I can't work out who should be the other winger unless you play someone out of position like Dugan, Lawrence or move J.Morris from centre.

Ferguson is a freak. 1 more year imo though.

if beau champion keeps doing as well as he is he could be a smokey. in consecutive weeks his defence has made rogers, gallen and morris look second rate. not to mention he has crossed the strip plenty

Not sure how your simulator works, but it's f**ked if it's got Watmough as being among the best this season.

Yeh just on ratings, nothing to be taken serious, I just wanted to see what it'd look like.

Obv with the bench I didn't go with 4 next best available, I went next 2 best front rowers, 1 back rower and 1 utility.

I agree with Beau Champion being a smokey now too, he has the physical presence and right now is playing at a really high standard.

Seriously what does Ennis's grubbiness achieve? A few extra piggyback penalties for QLD? I fail to see how that helps. Btw he is a poor defender for a hooker
