I’ve never really cared too much about origin it is all about Panthers for me.

I am pleased to see our players get the recognition they deserve even if it bumps up there contract value

Having said the above I do hope Yeo gets a blue jersey if anyone deserves he surely does.

Is it Saturday when the team gets announced?

EDIT: on NRL site "Both states will reduce their 27-man squads to 21 players on Thursday and then 19 next Tuesday, before naming the final 17 an hour before kick-off in Adelaide next Wednesday night."

I so hope Freddie uses his bench tonight and Isaiah Yeo gets the minutes he deserves. The Blues will be better for it if he does. Frizzell for mine has been underwhelming for some time now and Yeo offers so much more.

They have Brown and Yeo. One for energy and one for defence and running good lines with a little passing.

I think Yeo has flown under the radar for a long time. We won the minor premiership this season so perhaps his performances were more recognised leading to his selection this evening. He has always been a very good player worthy of SOO and he has got his rewards on the back of a very good season by our team. Well deserved and I so hope he gets the minutes tonight to show what he is capable of.

I understand the media love around Cameron Murray and Victor Ridley (injured) but seriously Yeo is just as good as either in my opinion. Same goes for Angus Chrichton seriously good player but better than Yeo, no. Don’t get me started on Frizzell who has done nothing for two seasons with the Dragons but starts tonight. Our own Liam Martin was more worthy on form of SOO selection than Tyson.
