Grant that missed 6 weeks before the game. Hunt was on the bench game 2 that is prob their top 17 tonight.
NSW missed their starting front rowers from Origin 1 big time. Ponga was a huge in as was Capewell back in the forwards.
NSW gained more kicking metres tonight then in any other game in the series. Forced 3 dropouts to 1.
Moses is down as 2 try assists. Wighton a try.
I don't think they played well but they weren't why the side lost. especially when the QLD halves weren't much better and are the current Australian halves.
The main issue with the attack was Tedesco. He kept running sideways or hogging it. The last set we had the ball the halves didn't get a touch that is on Cook and the captain Tedesco.
Latrell 3 errors. 5 tackles 3 missed ( one of those led to a try )
Tom Turbo 2 errors. They were the best in the whole series and very poor.
Ponga missed 6 weeks prior to this game aswell. Yet you have him as the reason Queensland won. Not the fact the best halfback in the world was missing. Grant was one of Queensland's best game 1. But Nathan kicked them out of the game.
You're quick to blame Nathan for every loss he's involved in. Give him absolutely no credit at all for the wins he is involved in... And when the teams he was leading to record breaking wins lose without him you are bumbling around for reasons why that dont include Cleary. The goal posts are constantly shifted so Nathan never gets credit.
NSW had 54% possession. Made more metres and missed less tackles. Pretty f**king good chance for a half to step up and win the game. Even a slight amount of game management would have changed the result. Adam Reynolds is not on Nathans level. But he would have won that game for us aswell.
If Nathan had played though the game wouldn't be close. He effortlessly makes the players around him better and makes their jobs easier. Obviously you'll never admit that..since you're now firmly standing behind the opinion a 7 makes minimal difference. But everyone knows the reason NSW lost is because they lose the Panthers halves and as a result every single player on the field became less effective and game management disappeared completely.
Cook and Tedesco played the same way they always do. You didnt have an issue with Cook crippling the attack for Nathan in game 3last year.ibfact you suggested it doesn't matter howshit his hooker was. How bad his forward pack was. How little possession and field position his team had. He should be able to win the game.
Yet with 54% field position, territory advantage and better defence you don't think it's the halves fault this year? Those goal posts certainly do move around alot
