NSW Team 2014

If Pearce gets picked for origin 2014, I will cease posting in the origin section of LU

Yo BHP, I want to ask you a question but you have to give me an honest answer. We all know about your never ending love for Pearce and the Roosters and your hatred for St George or as you like to call them, St Merge.

I want to know what you would do if Pearce bought his Origin form to the Roosters, got sacked after a bit and joined the Dragons. Would you continue supporting the Myth or would you stay loyal to the Roosters?

Pearce will be chosen in 2014. Daley said irrespective of the result prior to Origin 3 this year.

You will simply assume another moniker.

I have a feeling that was more said based on giving Pearce abit more confidence knowing this might not be his last game regardless.
In the past while there have been calls to drop Pearce there have also been some saying one more go. Safe to say though after the opportunities he has this year, everyone is NSW wants him gone now.

1. Firstly I have a love for the roosters and nsw and no hatred for merge.

2. I support Pearce as much as any other rooster player. The scenario you've stated is illogical so I won't comment on speculation.

1. Firstly no NSW supporter can support the selection of Pearce. If you say otherwise you're an secret agent from QLD.

2. You do hate St George. I've seen you dribble unequal hatred for the of your BHP account. I see that you try to contain yourself with this ALT, but it's quite obvious. The fact you call them 'merge' is disrespectful itself.

3. That scenario is more than logical. Answer the question or say you don't want to, don't write BS.

Not only for 2014.
From the below linked article:

However, Daley said he has never entertained the prospect of axing the 24-year-old.
“That is not my expectation. He may feel that, but he’s a great kid and he’ll be on the scene for a number of years,” Daley said.

Hopefully by 'on the scene' he meant on the bench for city country, and a possibility for NSW 7th choice half back

Remember:

Daley is the NSW Origin team coach. When he says that Pearce will be "on the scene for a number of years", he means as a member of the NSW Origin team.

So expect to see Pearce wearing the NSW number 7 jersey for 2014, 2015 and 2016(when NSW have two games in Sydney again).

I'd wager that they would only drop Pearce if NSW have lost 2014, 2015 and they lose 2016 because Daley will make the excuse that the refs were biased against the Blues in Brisbane and Melbourne in 2014 and 2015. This will be Pearce's escape clause for f***ing up in those series. Daley will say "Let's see how he goes when we have two home games."

The underlying agenda spelt-out in 2010 before a single Origin game had been played is to elevate baby Pearce to NSW Captain. That's why he is there. That's why it doesn't affect their resolve if he fails to perform. That's why his selection is announced prior to one game of the 2013 regular season being played. That's why Daley said it doesn't matter what the result is in Game 3 2013. They want to make their buddy's boy the Captain.

Pray that Gallen doesn't get a career ending injury. Pearce will be NSW Captain lickity split.

Think I'm bullshitting? Look at the dates of these two articles:

http://www.abc.net.au/news/2010-03-22/pearce-laughs-off-origin-captaincy-talk/374576

The Stuart recommendation for Pearce to be made Captain was written before one single Origin game was played in 2010. The Barrett recommendation that Pearce be made Captain was made after game 2 2010 when NSW had lost the Origin series and were headed for a clean-sweep loss.

Still think that he won't be there next year?

honest question............ Do you think NSW would have won this year if they had picked the best halves combo?

Difficult to say.

I still maintain that it was QLD's defence which won them the game this time. The Blues threw everything at the Maroons in Game 3. They really tried to win. Quite a change from the limp-wristed efforts of 5 years ago. To be quite honest I don't think they could have done much better and it was only QLD's best of the 8 series defence which won them the game.

I am watching Game 3 again today(off work with a bad back). If QLD's defence hadn't been as good, NSW would have won with a margin of 20 points. Pearce was not the reason why NSW was so good. I never go into detail about NSW plays. Let them figure out where they need to improve.

Once again QLD's defence forced some of the errors from the Blues and there was much one on one brilliance in their defence that prevented the Blues from scoring many points.

This year in Game 3 it was not so much NSW's mistakes which cost them but QLD's phenomenal defence. Defence wins Origins. There are a lot of great QLD players that I wouldn't want to see play Origin because their defence isn't up to it. That was one of the very best, if not the very best Game of QLD's 8 in a row.

Having said that, the best players on the field for NSW were wearing white.
