I agree the halves combination is a problem... However, I suggest that the problem is Anasta! Also the centres. There were numerous times Kimmorley would hit the ball at spped pass it out, only to have anasta slow the ball down and jog onto it into the defensive line. Or if he did pass, it was was stuck with Cooper or Lyon.
To say he did nothing for the team is rubbish, he had the kicking game that NSW didn't have in game one, but we still had the same 5/8th and centres. Admittingly Kimmorley doesn't have a large amount of attacking flair. However, he is a great structure player that can get the team to do the basics. For this reason I would be look at a Mullen-Kimmorley halves combination. Kimmorley is the structure, and Mullen is the flair out wider.
