My thoughts on Cordner being guaranteed:

This is bullshit. So much for all the talk of changing culture and picking on form. Really over origin being a job for the boys.
5 years of great form (Cordner) should trump 10 weeks of great form (Sims).

While Boyd was dominating for years, Tariq was being a bitch at Newcastle.

But on the back of a great start to a season he's overtaken the Kangaroos backrower?

Nah.

ok- I'm going...

1- Tedesco
2- T. Trbojevic
3- Mitchell
4- Aitken
5- Addo-Carr
6- Maloney
7- Cleary
8-Vaughan
9- Cook
10- Campbell-Gillard
11- Cordner (he is going to be there)
12- Frizell
13- J. Trbojevic

Res- Peachey, Klemmer, De Belin, Sims

I'm not sure they'll win the series- hugely inexperienced. But it's a team that NSW can start building with.

Nah.

Sims was playing Origin-form footy at NQ don't forget. It's not like he's a flash in the pan.

Cordner is more professional more likely. Does all the right things on the track and away from footy to make him a more consistent footballer. Is he a Matt Gillett? f**k no! I think that's what we're expecting from our edge forward who is also our 'captain'. He is a solid footballer that just runs the same lines off his left-side half and relies on that half to create a big enough hole for him. Folks here don't consider his defence.......f**k, defence isn't even part of the game with most supporters it seems.

I won't be upset as some here if he's selected on the left edge. He'll be running off Maloney too and Gillett won't be opposing him on the QLD right edge so it is all really looking good for a big game in attack for the captain. Cordner has defended as the #4 inside Maloney in their time together in a premiership team at Easts as well, which Fittler is no doubt keeping in mind.

The thing I'm sure is playing on Fittler's mind is if he goes with all the pundits, that left-side defence is going to be Maloney at #3, Mitchell at #2, and Ado-Carr on the wing. Hunt/Morgan/DCE (whoever is their halfback as Munster will be on the left), Hess/Kaufusi, Chambers & Gagai could run riot down the QLD right edge. All well and good if rules are changed before Game 1 and NSW get to play in possession for 100% of the match. The reality is QLD will get the ball and they will get opportunities to probe NSW glaring weaknesses out wide. The QLD edge defence is nowhere near as susceptible. The NSW game plan could very much be breaking QLD around the middle of the ruck with inside balls.

Well since Peachy can only really play centre and Freddy wants him in the side I'd just put him there. Allows for an extra forward on the bench or 2 hookers

He’s been going alright in the halves hasn’t he? He’s pretty much our only utility available. No point putting McInnes on the bench unless he’s worried Cook won’t last 80mins.

ESPN has named THEIR NSW team and it is this

1. Tedesco
2. T Trbojevic
3. L Mitchell
4. J Roberts
5. Ado-Carr
6. Maloney
7. Cleary
8. Vaughan
9. Cook
10. Campbell-Gillard
11. Cordner
12. Jackson
13. Frizell

14. Peachey
15. J Trbojevic
16. Klemmer
17. de Belin

Seeing as Roberts has an achilles issue, they may need a different right centre

Does anyone think all of this Roberts for Origin is just media talk? Yeah sure he is a weapon when he gets some space and has blistering speed but he isn’t that good in defence. Quite a few of his opponents have walked over the top of him especially Mitchell and he isn’t better defensively that Dugan or Aitken who I rate as the best defensive centre.

We’ve been picking defensive guys against Inglis for years for no result. He’s struggled himself this year with quicker guys so it would be good to see him with a few headaches himself rather than lining up against a Morris, Dugan, Hayne ect

Sorry, he is not eligible for nsw, his dad Stan played for the devils.

We all know who he plays for Brisbsnecentric.

That was not the question.

You wouldn't have RCG due to lack of post contact metres. Fair enough.

Are you a Dylan Napa fan?

Since Roberts is injured Aitken takes his spot.

Move Sims to the left edge, f**k off Cordner and have Fifita on bench - perfect side.

5 years of shitting the bed in Origin vs someone new who should be given a go?

Think it's about time we try something different don't you think?
