The Panthers won 5 from 7 with him in the 6 this season, despite the protestations of some. It's not his natural position but he can play there at a pinch, which is what you want from a bench utility.

If the benchmark is Craig Wing then he is a long way off. Peachey certainly doesn't possess the same skillset.

Would be one helluva pinch to let Peachey play halves/hooker in origin if injury occurs. It's why a guy like Graham will probably get a spot on the bench.

Graham shouldn't be anywhere near the squad this season. Apart from his body being far from the level you want to be taking into an origin match, he was the main contributor to the NSW collapse last series.

Likewise Dugan and Ferguson. Their antics leading into a decider was poor, I don't care what their abilities are at the moment. To be honest, I think both are going to be there on the NSW right side. The concerns of Roberts vs Inglis is going to be too much of a risk for Fittler, plus they are the incumbent national right side.

If Freddy is cleaning the slate, he needs to be rid of the rif raf that brought about past series losses. The only guys who should survive are Maloney, Teddy (even though I'd have Turbo instead), Klemmer, & Jake T.

Turbo hasn't done anywhere near enough to unseat Teddy.

His defence and ability under the high ball isn't in Teddy's league yet.

I totally agree on Wade Graham though. Both he and Hayne cost NSW game II and the series last year.

Anyone who doesn’t think tedesco should be in origin needs to rewatch his game 1 performance from last year. He’ll turn it up for the big occasion

He looks like the kind of player who'll benifit from Freddy coaching. His year has been off due to the Roosters structures IMO.

I've been saying this from when he first signed with them. He's been showing glimpses but not consistent enough, but hes at his best when he's allowed to roam and chime in when necessary. Not much of a ball player either. He's even admitted he's struggling to fit in with the Roosters style of play but is getting better

Obviously a bit different going from the tigers to the roosters where the roosters base their game on tons of structure and defense

And errors. And boneheaded plays. They're at the core of our philosophy, apparently.

We're the only club in the NRL that simultaneously tries just as hard to lose as we do to win.

But I digress; Teddy has shown immense improvement the past 2-3 games. Even when being stifled by our suffocating structure - which has loosened up - he is just so deadly in and around the ruck.

I see Turbo and think, "gee he's great at being put through a hole". But Teddy has the ability to make his own holes with his acceleration and footwork.

And if NSW win it'll be through the middle just like Game 1 last year so Teddy has to be the man. Turbo can fight Roberts for the right centre spot.

Agree, but based on his form if he has a shit game he should be dropped for 2 & 3

Agree, but they'll still be picking Tedesco on reputation. He's not exactly the form fullback available.

Blues selector Greg Alexander has confirmed that the Blues hooker has been pencilled in for Origin I

As is normal practice, I'd say they've picked the entire team already. Maybe the 7 depends somewhat on the Penrith match, but that would be about all.

Nah bandy is a merkin who hates the Dragons and will do anything to help us lose.

If we lose this weekend, it's because of him, not because of the tactical mastermind Mary.

look at this merkin, announcing it before our game against the Panthers so McInnes doesn't play like an Origin spot is on the line

all except the halves and an interchange spot will have been selected by now. they're not going to base their selections on one round unless there are mitigating circumstances such as injuries this weekend, and also, assess how Cleary performs with another match back from injury. This halves situation will probably affect who the final interchange is too.

A fullback in the centres? Tell me more!

Teddy can hold is head up high, but game 1 last series was an Origin anomaly. Little weight should be placed on it. QLD selected several players past their use-by date only because they had been around a winning squad for years. You'd think they've learnt from that. Besides, the circumstances are different now. They have retirements and need to select new players who will win and be around for a while, just like NSW need to do.

It's funny everyone is ignoring that he hasn't mentioned WHO the position is going to.

I used to like Alexander but he’s slowly getting worse with his obvious bias. If I was McInnes this would motivate me to kill it on the wkd

He was our premiership winning captain and has an official position on the club board. If anyone thought he didn't have bias they are kidding themselves. Freddy also hinted at injuries being the only concern this week.
