There was an article a few days after the GF saying he had been carrying the injury heading into the GF and was in doubt for game 1 pending the blues doctors - was supposed to be announced saturday with teddy and trbo but i guess they found out early

It's not as strong yeah, but they've selected well. Picked players who went deep in the finals mostly.

Guys like Brenko Lee and Jake Friend were carried by their respective teams, Collins didn't even play the elimination final, not to mention Coen Hess who couldn't get back into 1st grade at the back end of the year

What's often overlooked is that the 1995 series took place amidst the distractions of the SL war, which also involved Gus as coach of the Roosters. None of the Qld players (or Fatty for that matter) had to deal with this distraction and could focus solely on the series.
