So who will make it into the team?

From the Dogs, I would say Jamal Idris will be the first centre picked in the team.

Other possible selections from the Dogs include...

Nathan Massey & Neenan Simpson

Lachlan Coote will be the fullback. Wade Graham will probably be captain and play either halfback or 5/8. Greg Waddell would've made it if it wasn't for injury.
Tim Auremi from Parra and Dominic Walsh from Souths will be the in the second row most probably.

This was last year's NSW Under 17's side. They won very comprehensively so the selectors may stay loyal to them.

(Parramatta)
3.Kieran Foran (Manly)
4.Tim Auremi
(Parramatta)
5.Greg Waddell (Penrith)
6.Wade Graham Capt (Penrith)
7.Adam Reynolds
(South Sydney)
8.Tom Hancock (Cronulla)
9.Jake Friend
(Sydney Roosters)
10.Rulon Nutira
(Parramatta)
11.Mitch Johnson
(Parramatta)
12.Mitch Jowett (Manly)
13.Matt Hyland (Balmain)

Interchange
14.Wes Suckley (CRL Coonabarabran)
15.Alec Butchies

Re Para probables:

Albert Kelly will be the five eight for sure. Mitch Johnson will struggle to make it (just back from injury) as will Nutira (form).

Nathan Gardiner is also just back from injury but I think his form is ok. I also think half back T.K. Amosa has played well this year. A sleeper might be Krys Freeman (son of Kiwi Gary) who is still under 17 but he is a beauty.

thats a very good side although the highlighted players are all kiwi i believe and their is a rule now that the kiwis cant play in these under 18s sides.. and they hve to play under the actual state of origin, like the queensland 18s side have a whole bunch of players playin in nsw where in the past they would be picked nsw!! a better rule i believe

also i believe the side you picked will be most the same, although jamal startin centre with croker and dugan on the wing with roche, i would also have bradley murray at five eight, how lethal would he and wade graham be! woolford im not to sure about at hooker, same with front rowers, but they defintly will have a good team

I don't think Neenan would have a chance, although he is a awesome talent.

Nathan is still young, and would have to be in the side defintly next year, defintly an awesome talent as well, i believe more of a future with him then their is for Neenan

The halves are strong. Ben Hunt has been killing 'em in the 20's. Ryan Williamson played very strong for the Roosters in SG Ball during the junior reps finals at centre. If he can't crack a centre spot their centres must be strong.

Beale and Tomane are an awesome pairing in the centres. Hence why Williamson has been named on the wing.

Looks like Peter O'Sullivan is doing a good job at the Roosters.

Ryan Williamson is a gun. I would however have any 1 of these 3 in the team at 3 or 4 a head of him...

Jamal Idris - Canterbury NYC

Jarrod Croker - Canberra NYC
Dean Whare - St George Illawarra NYC

He is a Queenslander anyway mate. So not an issue. Idris,Croker and Whare will battle for the NSW spots. If Waddell was fit it would've been an awesome 4 way battle for 2 spots.

Saw Waddell at Penrith Plaza last week. The kid is a giant, i dont consider myself short at all but he towered over me. No crutches and no plaster on his knee, he should be back for the NYC Finals hopefully. He will debut in the centres next year in First Grade i believe and do what SBW did and move to the backrow.

I believe he will be back later in the year. Seen him a couple of times in the last month and he seems to be walking around fine.

Anyone else think this game doubles up with the schools competitions a little too much and that a under 19 game would be better for players and supporters

It is distinct in that it is origin and that some players may be out of school but for me I think it will be too similar to the state and national championships and arrive alive cup

May also put another big game in front of the elite under 18 in this second half of the year with many going into the toyota cup also

Can anyone help with the schedule for players

Under 15
local competition
harold matthews
state and national championships
other schools competitions

Under 16
local competition
harold matthews
game prior to state of origin
arrive alive cup and other schools competitions

Under 17
local competition
sg ball
state and national championships
arrive alive cup and other schools competitions

Under 18
local competition
sg ball
game prior to state of origin
state and national championships
arrive alive cup and other schools competitions
toyota cup
possible tour
