NSW Under-19s Official Team

The NSW U19s side has been selected that will take on Queensland U19s on Wednesday 23 May at Suncorp Stadium, in the curtain raiser to the first State of Origin clash.

The team is:

I think it is a very strong team although i think Mitchell Pearce, Michael Jennings, Jarryd Hayne and Shaun Kenny-Dowall should have been selected.

Cronulla forward Fred Pakutoa is a shock omission.

I'm stoked that two North Sydney players were selected

I think it must be because of too many NRL games. But i think it is a stupid rule. I'd like to see the strongest possible sides.

Kenny-Dowall actually played for NSW Under-19s last year even though he is a Kiwi. Krisnan Inu was also selected but pulled out with injury.

Not sure about the age of the other players but Anthony Mitchell is 17, turning 18 in a few weeks. Has done well to make this team without playing Flegg.
