5 newie boys in there.

Uate is an absolute superstar in the making, he and McDonnell would beat most fullback/wing combos in 1st grade in terms of pace, also not as lightly built as other speedsters, eg Joven Clarke

Jarrod Mullen and Luke Walsh-Mullen has shown he's capable of handling 1st grade, did some special things in 1st grade last year when thrown into the deep end, IMO the best young 5/8th in the game for his age. Walsh was on fire in flegg at the beginning of the year when the team was putting up 40 points a week, he's been moved up to Premier League with Mullen in 1st grade and has shown he can handle it. Future knights 1st grade halves combo in the post johns era.

Jon Tupou-Younger brother of Anthony and looks a good player. Is a slightly smaller more mobile, higher workrate version of Anthony

BEAUTIFUL TEAM!

Well done to Jennings and Grant...i've got huge raps on both those kids and they are still in SG BALL! same as UATE i believe.

That backline is insane!

I don't know much about Jacob Ling but i'm sure his deserving...god NSW Under 19's
Ling usually plays backrow for the knights flegg team, looks a good solid player, wouldn't say superstar but he's abit like an Andrew Ryan type.

I hope they do pick PL and JF players, it would somewhat cheapen the contest if they ignore players playing in NSW imo.

They are picking from NSW - the Balmain website is reporting Rod Griffin from Balmain Flegg has been selected for the QLD u/19's.

I'm trying to track down the full side now

Yes. One player at least (even if Setu is a Qlder). I thought we were going to miss out entirely this year.

Hearing that SA has apparently pulled out of the game this weekend. Can anyone verify this or shed any more light on the rumour ???

Well McDonnell will now be out of the game after he was injured on the weekend so looks like Ben Jeffery will be playing fullback

NSW Team
Fullback: Jarryd Hayne (Parramatta)
Right Wing: Ben Jeffery (Balmain)
Right Centre: Keith Eshman (Balmain)
Left Centre: Shaun Kenny-Dowell (Roosters)
Left Wing: Akuila Uate (Newcastle)
Five Eighth: Jarrod Mullen (Newcastle)
Halfback: Luke Walsh (Newcastle)
Prop: Tim Grant (Penrith)
Hooker: Stuart Flanagan (Balmain)
Prop: Jacob Ling (Newcastle)
Second Row: Cory Paterson (Newcastle)
Second Row: Tony Williams (Parramatta)
Lock: Mitchell Aubusson (Roosters)

Bench:
Dean Rysko (Western Suburbs)
Edward Pettybourne (South Sydney)
Jon Tupou (Newcastle)
Joe Picker (Canberra)

Scoring:
0-4. Joel Moon breaks through the tackles of Walsh and Eshman to score. Jackson Nicolau misses the conversion.
0-10. Denan Kemp outjumps Uate to take a bomb and score. Nicolau converts.
6-10. Stuart Flanagan makes a break up the middle to get NSW in a good field position. Then in the next set Flanagan offloads to Jarrod Mullen who passes to Jarryd Hayne who scores. Luke Walsh converts.

Halftime: NSW 6 – Qld 10.

12-10. Ben Jeffery scores in the corner from a cutout pass by Jarrod Mullen. Walsh converts.
18-10. Joe Picker takes the ball to the line and plays the ball quickly for Jarryd Hayne who dives over to score from dummy half. Walsh converts.
22-10. Mitchell Aubusson offloads to Flanagan who gives it to Kenny-Dowell who passes to Akuila Uate who scores in the corner. Walsh misses the conversion.

Fulltime: 22-10.

Right at the end of the match there was an all in brawl which resulted in Qld lock Kieran Lander being sent off and NSW’s Jarryd Hayne being sent to the sin bin.

I thought the best for NSW were prop Tim Grant, hooker Stuart Flanagan, halfback Luke Walsh and reserve prop Edward Pettybourne.

If i was picking Australian Under-19s based on the match i would go with:

1 Jarryd Hayne (Parramatta)
2 Denan Kemp (Toowoomba)
3 Keith Eshman (Balmain)
4 Will Chambers (Norths Devils)
5 Israel Folau (Norths Devils)
6 Joel Moon (Toowoomba)
7 Luke Walsh (Newcastle)
8 Tim Grant (Penrith)
9 Stuart Flanagan (Balmain)
10 Jacob Ling (Newcastle)
11 Cory Paterson (Newcastle)
12 Lagi Setu (St George Illawarra)
13 Mitchell Aubusson (Roosters)

14 Dean Rysko (Western Suburbs)
15 Edward Pettybourne (South Sydney)
16 Jon Tupou (Newcastle)
17 Joe Picker (Canberra)

The real team will probably look nothing like that.

I'd be interested to see what other people would go with.

I didn't have a very good view from my seat so i'm sure there may be some people who will disagree with me.

Good to see Setu rated, Girvie, at times, during the middle of Origin, I was wondering how he went, even though he's a dirty Queenslander :)

I'm not sure about eligibility, for example Jarrod Mullen may not be able to play due to playing too many NRL games but a team combining the best from Wednesday:-

1 Jarryd Hayne (Parramatta)
2 Akuila Uate (Newcastle Knights)
3 Keith Eshman (Balmain)
4 Joel Moon (Toowoomba)
5 Shaun Kenny-Dowall (Roosters)
6 Jarrod Mullen (Newcastle)
7 Luke Walsh (Newcastle Knights)
8 David Taylor (Toowoomba Clydesdales)
9 Stuart Flanagan (Balmain)
10 Tim Grant (Penrith)
11 Cory Paterson (Newcastle)
12 Scott Bolton (North QLD Young Guns)
13 Mitchell Aubusson (Roosters)

14 Isaac Schwenke (Norths Devils)
15 Edward Pettybourne (South Sydney)
16 Lagi Setu (St George Illawarra)
17 Keiron Lander (Aspley Devils)

Queensland dominated early through their forwards. NSW dominated through their big backs tiring Queensland and then their forwards running over the top of Queensland, in turn providing opportunites for the backs, halves and hooker.

David Taylor was the best player on either side.
