It will be the same when BA arrives, good luck to u guys, but we have a war chest now to sign players who want to play, as a newbie fan I’d be concerned he has signed for nothing but the cash, like many others i guess, but 10 years
The club that let their most talented prospect walk to their bitter rivals cos he wanted to play fullback. Then let the incumbent fullback leave anyway cos their new coach thinks he is a centre. Yep. They will be lining up. Ryles has made some insane recruitment calls for a rookie coach. Based on the fact it comes off as him believing he should assert authority for the sake of it. But we all know Gutho is an alpha player. And I think Ryles was threatened by it myself. Gutho was not having his BS.

I've gotten more and more fine with this as times goes on. We simply must maximize Ponga's prime while we still can. I admire the club's determination to make that happen even if it means a historical deal like this.

If it cripples us for a few years at the end of the contract then so be it, I'd rather be a true contender for 5 years than neither here nor there for another decade. Most clubs go through that cycle naturally anyway.

Exactly. Yes we need a specialist halfback. Who is there to nab? By the time there is a top tier halfback looking to move clubs, KP will be gone or retired.
Between Brown, KP and Sharpe, they’ve all got the skills, just need to learn between them how to control a game when it is tight.

If Parra fans are salty, it’s probably because this turnip cost us sanders, never fussed on Talagi, that’s why fans have the shits
Why be salty it's common knowledge he has a knee that's every chance of rupturing due to his pcl injury last season in spoonbowl , it's a business now so take the money and hopefully he goes well at the knights as he does a heap of work with disabled kids and is genuinely a nice bloke although not overly streetwise

Has anyone at the Knights actually said we want him to play halfback?

They said they’d be “open” to him playing 7 but to me that’s more letting him know we’d be open to it if that’s what he wanted to come, rather than the plan is definitely to play him at 7.

There’s 3 options:

1. Brown at 7 with Sharpe at 6.

2. Brown at 6 with some likes of Cogger/Gamble/new halves signing at 7 with Sharpe back in the backline.

3. Brown at 6 with Sharpe at 7 (least likely but also the one I think the club are aiming for with all of the talk about Fletcher’s talk and footy IQ)

Nope, it was a clean out of BA’s cheer squad mate , that was his intent, tho would have kept RCG, Gutherson on borrowed time
