Fergusons stats should not have him in the test consideration. While hes definetly good enough and seems naturally talented. he had a chance today to take a spot but hes missed out.

To be honest if anyone stood up in this game, with a big 150 or 6+ wickets theyd throw there name up.

Ferguson should never have ever been mentioned in the same sentence as test batsman. He ain't one and likely never will be.

Well really, most of the NSW side is competing for spots in the Aust side.
Clark is there for leadership, Nevill is a fill in keeper for Haddin and Henriques is chosen probably cos of team balance. Jaques, Hughes, Khawaja Smith Hauritz Copeland Cameron are all attempting to impress at present, whilst Maddinson is a youngster who has taken his chance
