Thoughts from those who have seen plenty on how this might look? Is there a number of NRL games that makes someone ineligible?

Johnston won't get picked I think he only played the 1 NYC game this year and then played with Norths before first grade.

Essentially It's the best performances from the competition not the best eligible players like a rep side would be picked.

Has Pauli played any NYC?

Yes. Definitely started the year in NYC. Not sure from memory his many games he played perhaps the first 5-6 games. Hence why I was wondering about eligibility. Think that Johnston and Pauli would nit gave played enough to be considered.

3. Lee (Raiders)/S. Matautia (Kinghts)
4. MacDonald (Roosters)/ Yeo (Panthers)
5. Watene Zelezniak (Panthers)/ Holmes (Sharks)
6. Moses (Tigers) /Matterson (Parra) / Hutchinson (Saints)
7. Nikorima (Broncos) / Moses (Tigers)
8. Molo (Broncos)
9. McInness (Souths)
10. Meehan (Roosters)/Lodge (Tigers)
11. Moeroa (Eels)
12. Cartwright (Panthers)

Usually they select players who have played around 10-12 games in the NYC as long as they spent the rest of the time in the NRL. I'd have to go through some past teams to verify but that's the impression I got out of Oates' selection last year in the backrow.

I haven't watched as much NYC as I'd like to and since nobody is keeping track of the stats anymore I basically rely on the odd FoxSports replay, Big League or the fan reports to get by.

For the Broncos I'd nominate...
Joe Ofahengaue
Jai Arrow
Jayden Nikorima
Francis Molo
Jordan Drew

And as roughies Paul Byrnes, Tom Opacic & Jayden Berrell.

Lee was pretty woeful in his few under 20's games this year. Same for the other stars from last year at the Raiders. All of them have gone better playing up a grade.

This year the Warriors have gone young.
There half Higano is Under 17 and they generally have another 7 players in the 17 that are Under 18.

They have promoted Tui Lolohea, Solmona Kata, David Fusitua to NRL/NSW Cup.

So only one certainty in the side this year.

Sam Lisone - (Warriors Prop)

He has played half a dozen NSW cup games.
But has killed it in NYC. He is a certainity in the 17.

Brady Abbey (fullback) - worthy of a mention

Nelson Asofa-Solomona as looked like a man among boys in most NYC games he has played.

Only seen Broncos play two or three times.
but Joe Ofahengaue & Nikorima will be included.

For Parra I'd put up: Fabian Goodall, ZDC, Halauafu Lavaka, Tepai Moeroa, and Nathan Davis as potential players who could make the team.

Is there a games played limit? I went with at least 10 NYC games played. Players who played first grade but still spent time in the NYC usually get picked, so here's my attempt:

1. Valentine Holmes (Sharks)
2. Jake Mamo (Knights)
3. Sione Mata'utia (Knights)
4. Brendan Elliot (Roosters)
5. Nene Macdonald (Roosters)
6. Jayden Nikorima (Broncos)
7. Zach Dockar-Clay (Eels)
8. Matthew Lodge (Tigers)
9. Cameron McInnes (Rabbitohs)
10. Francis Molo (Broncos)
11. Joseph Tapine (Knights)
12. Tepai Moeroa (Eels)
13. Jack Bird (Dragons)

14. Jackson Hastings (Roosters)
15. Willis Meehan (Roosters)
16. Sam Lisone (Warriors)
17. Joe Ofahengaue (Broncos)

I don't know about Jayden in the starting side, I see him more as a bench reserve due to the time he's missed and the fact he'll be missing for the rest of the season with what looks like a broken ankle.

I don't know if he's left his run too late but Ashley Taylor for the Broncos has been the best player I've seen for them each week. Had a super game against the competition leaders helping the Broncos to 10 goal line drop-outs.
