that is a damn good article. if sbw was in that kiwi team they would be unbeatable, he really has dogged his game and his country. i actually miss the hype surrounding the guy, he could have taken nz rugby league and international rugby league to another level. but now we will never know!

SBW ?? the silly young arse deserves to be "scratching around in the union undergrowth".

Nice article by Rattue who rarely writes anything sensible about League.

SBW would definitely add another dimension to the Kiwi lineup, when he was around I was thinking how good the Kiwi team would look at full strength. Anyway hes gone so no point pondering on him.

Chris Rattue is an idiot
i agree.... im laughing at people praising him...

the bloke is the first to put the knife into RL if he gets a chance... the only reason why hes not putting the boot in at the moment is because he hates the All Blacks coaches even more...

Sonny Bill Who?
Forgot all about him after the tragic death of an even better heroic Sonny (Fai)!
Not only a good player but a hero who lost his life saving his family members in a rip.
Money Bill wasn't even in his class just hyped by the media and his own stupid mouth when he opened it. Leave him in France to Rot!!
Bobby Digital you have my backing Tana is exactly what you said especially coming from where he did, but we know now that even with all that talent he scabbed together at some Frog Yawnion Club he just couldn't do it as a Coach....He just plainly sucked go play tiddlies Tana.

I don't know the bloke and he may usually be a Knob but that is a very good article. A lot of good sense in it and if he's often a critic of RL that suggests its because he knows how good the game can be when it gets it right.

I loved most of that article except about money bill. What Ratiue missed was that the kiwis strength is in their attitude. Money bill wouldn't have that attitude of doing it for your brother. His selfish 'me, me, me" attitude would break down the strength of the team. So I don't agree that they would be unbeatable. Money bill has played a few tests and never won in the black and white..........but of course he never had anything more to achieve in league........

Its good though. People seeing that game realise how good test league is. SOO will start to become a trial for the test team and the main event.

Bulldogs 2008 (with Sonny Bill) - 16th
Bulldogs 2009 (w/out him) - 2nd

I don't think he'd make that much difference to the Kiwis at all. ozenzud is right, his selfishness would ruin it somewhat I reckon.

Best bit about the article; Smith falls over the line after Inglis beats half the team - Reaction: "surely the best dummy half of all time" Errrrr. Did he not notice we sucked balls all game and had the attacking threat of a limb-less mouse? Something Smith is MEANT to be responsible for.
