Sounds like styris had a shocker in the field, dropped a catch, got hit for 8 an over and instead of throwing the ball to Cairns to complete a run out Stryis makes a wild through and misses the stumps completely.

The South African batsmen don't look so against some decent bowling, did anyone notice the new WI test team, almost the whole bowling lineup that played RSA was dropped - justified as well.

NZ 59/1 after 12 overs RR 4.46

Fleming just run out for 32.

Papps on 22
Marshall on 1

Either the wicket has flattened out or SA lost cheap wickets in their batting session.

After saying that

NZ 63/2

Marshal out for 3 - outside off, shapes to cut, ball cuts back, inside edge into the stumps

Nice break through for SA.

At the end of the last test theyll anounce the player of the year based on a points system which runs through out the seasons ODIS And Tests

192 in the first test, a century in each of the last series, considering no one else has scored a ton in those games for NZ, I'd say he's carrying his weight TH.

If 30's in between are failures, I'd take that and say thank you very much. Most international batsmen on NZ wickets would.

It's been obvious for a number of years now that good results against the Windies don't mean anything in the grand scheme of things. The Windies tour of SA before this recent one had the Windies losing 5-0 in the Test series and 6-1 in the ODI series. I remember a few years back NZ bet them 2-0 in the 2 Test Test series and 5-0 in the ODI series and everyone thought we were ready to take on Australia and beat them. We got cleaned out and weren't in quite the form we thought we were in, just against weak opposition.
